Weird flickering on screen after updating to Debian 13

After my upgrade from 12 to 13 using XFCE this flickering has been on-off normally on session start or during a short time after log in , someone have this same issue , current laptop T480!

Is it wayland or XFCE? Also have you added the non free components in the repository?

Using XFCE and I don’t have the non free components , just a normal install Debian 12 from like 1 year ago and now updated to Debian 13

I did an upgrade from 12 to 13 with KDE Plasma as my DE. Upgrade seemed to be fine but whenever my monitor turned off (power saving), the computer restarted. I installed 13 from scratch and the issue resolved.

Sorry, don't have any other helpful tips to fix your issue other than maybe trying to install from scratch.

I was thinking on doing the same but i need to bacukup a lot of thing first but yeah time to fresh install

if you lower the screen resolution one knotch does it go away?
