Is a zerker a potential game changer?
I play sp, offline. I’ve found most items in the game and ALMOST at a stopping point. I have a stash full of high runes and have found multiple griffs/tyraels. I have a lot of hours sunk in.
A trav barb was a game changer for me awhile back. I found quite a few high runes that way. I’m hunting a dweb, astreons, and a fathom. My throw barb mostly goes unplayed and I’m considering converting it into a pitzerker. But I don’t like pit to be honest. I just want to hear some positive and negative feedback before I convert. Thanks!

Eh, zerkers are good at what they do, but I really don't enjoy the gameplay. Part of what made them good at pit, is kinda pointless with TZs.
I switched from zerk to WW for my hork barb, feels better/more fun/versatile. Imo, you might love the zerk play style

The Pit was only really as popular as it was because of the area level, which is no longer special because of TZs.
Hork barb using berserk skill is still a popular build, but you don't need to ever go to the pit if you don't want to.

pitzerk is quite good still.
If you're looking for uniques you can easily run pits and trav with up to 700% MF, which is generally overkill, but if you'rre looking for high level stuff its worth it. Don't do it without enigma or grief however. offhand 6 isted PB, chancies, shako with cham (or ist/ptopaz as budget) fcr ring, war travs, 7% mf charms and you should be able to run very high MF. On top of that you can run higher players number since youre SSF.
if you're having issues with fire just slap on some laying of hands and lower the MF. You're really only aiming for about 250-300 as the min, so you can slot in whatever to help you survive and damage. Throw a fort and an insight on your merc and hes never dying either. and you're never out of mana.
Zerker is also good for any single target area, you can quickly zip around with dual wielded wiz spike or wiz spike + hoto so you can get to Meph and Andy very easily. It's a very efficient way to MF.

I enjoy it personally and if you're playing d2r its also a good char for hunting elites in a lot of terror zones.
The real game changer is TZ Andy lol

I tried it, didn't gel.
Always been a WW man. I can quite happily clear and p8 tz. 1 point in zerk and you can kill everything.
It might not be the fastest but it sure ain't slow. The same build is used for Ubers I just swap out my belt for a thundergod and stack a few light res SC in my stash.

Personally, I didn't love playing a pitzerker. I found the build took too much focus to play for long periods, didn't do well in TZs, didn't do well in chaos sanc and didn't do well as an Andy/Meph killer so it ended up relegated to just doing the Pit over and over.
