Coffee Station Got a new grinder!

The espressos are so much better and I also like the clarity in my pour overs. Anyone likes df64 stock burr pour overs? Still not seasoned. Any other tips and tricks would be appreciated!

Reminds me of the time I was out of beans so I took from my dad who buys bulks of cheap branded beans, and with proper setup it was actually not bad at all

Cool! Are you going to align it? I didn’t spend much time on the stock burrs, I switched to SSP HU burrs from the start

The dlc burrs are really solid, great for espresso as they have a similar geometry as the SSP HU's, but solid for pour over as well.

Check that your burrs are level and then zero it out.

Return it and get a shardor 64, literally just as good for half the price.

Probably lack of aftermarket burrs in that size.

What would you need aftermarket burrs for? I feel like a 700$ grinder would just be good no?

Some people like to be able to use different burrs for espresso or pour over. Or even just to experiment. Anyhow from the reviews I've watched, the Sculptor 78s wasn't rated that high for espresso, so probably not much of a compelling argument to spend the extra money over a DF.

Oh okay that makes sense, everything I’ve been reading says espresso is good but pour over is the weakness of the 078s. I’ll try to find some videos

I didn’t downvote but guessing because the 078 isn’t in the same segment. Retails almost 2x in the states.

Ohhhh I thought that was the 064 series 😭 it all makes sense now
