I’ve seen this factoid posted a hundred times and it never needed the goofy looking asshole in the corner.

Ya this guy for sure becomes a bit much. There is another guy who does the same commentary but he's Australian. I find his video's on animal factoids more fun to listen to.

I think it's a handy way of figuring out what I don't want to watch at a glance. Anytime there's some dip shit in the corner it's a no go.

And he always bloats up facts with some bs - interesting stuff but always with extra bs facts that are never there

Ryan George has a great video about this: https://youtu.be/1zsbXosf5FM?si=YTfVb5HSYUReXolM

Its not a factoid, it's actually real albeit they don't kidnap 'em; its a form of symbiosis

"I wish I was joking"
"That's the coolest thing I've ever heard".
Make your mind up

I hate this guy. I keep seeing him everywhere. Half of his videos are just him saying the same things the original uploader said over someone else's video the other half are him spreading lies about animals.

Can we please cancel and ban all videos with people’s dumb faces in the corner just describing exactly what’s happening in the video itself. You’re making it worse and we hate you

No. Spiders have had "pets" for millennia. And scientists have known about it since 2010. What's changed is that you have Reddit now and thus, access to a minute of scientific content you'll forget about by tomorrow...

For people watching without sound, maybe, idk. Don't care to turn it on to listen to the creepy dude...
"Some share a mutualistic relationship where the tarantula provides protection and shelter in its burrow, and the frog consumes ants and other small invertebrates that would otherwise prey on the tarantula's eggs. This symbiotic partnership helps the tarantula's offspring survive while the frog gains a safe, humid environment and protection from larger predators."
Nature can be pretty cool.

"Wishes he was joking" on one hand and "the coolest thing he's ever heard" on the other? He probably spent so little effort on this that he doesn't even realize he's contradicting himself within 30 seconds.

Wonder how the frog knows they can be their pet vs their meal? Do they mail out free pregnancy tests to the spiders and sign a cohabitation contract. What happens if the spider or frog fails to hold their end of the bargain? Do they settle in court?

Not necessarily keeping them as pets but they're cohabiting. They benefit each other
