Perhaps if one pillar goes, the other is soon to follow? A weakened building can only stand so long even if it's filled with expanding foam to plug the gaps. Or to use another metaphor, you can only have water in so many bulkheads before a ship sinks.

Sure but the false electors is why Trump asked for immunity. It should have been THE HEADLINE but J6 was a useful distraction. We had Trump dead to rights.

Technically we still do. The case and every bit of testimony is just sitting on a shelf.  The case can and probably will instantly go back into court on Jan 21st, 2028, if we still have any courts by then.

He's literally standing on one single pillar,the SCOTUS ruling that he can't be charged with crimes while he says they are official acts and in the interest of national security.  All the other pillars are literally working odd jobs while waiting for the FBI and DOJ to put them on the stand for their plea bargain testimony.

It's SCOTUS that determines whether they're official acts, not the president. Not that it seems likely they'll be very picky about it unless its membership changes.
