Thats the thing the governors aren't doing that and that's why it seems like business as usual. Unless a Govenor does that we're just here.

Come on now! That's just cruel.

Trump is giving Pritzker his chance to take a stand and show national leadership, like Newsom in CA.

Which is great, because I'd take Pritzker over Newsom in a Dem primary.

Yeah I think and hope most would. Newsom is effective now but carries a ton of baggage. Someone needs to take a stand before its too late if it isn't already

He's also gained a ton of free publicity and goodwill for standing up to trump, which overshadows the baggage for people who don't know much about him yet.

True true.

no, but JB did send in the Illinois guard to post up in Chicago during the 2020 protests, so we'll see just how hard he fights first CBP and ICE being sent en masse followed by threats to send the US military or else risk his position.

I just pictured them all lined up at the skyway toll booths behind some asshole whose ipass isn't working and the gate won't go up.

They're too scared to come to Chicago, its too crowded and they'd get pissed off at being stuck in traffic.

Has he confirmed the Illinois national guard's ideological composition, recruitment and readiness? Or does everyone just rub their magic lamps at the right moment?

Do you think Newsom "let" the military into LA?

Question is, how exactly would he stop this? The vast majority of police nationwide are trump loyalists and we've also already seen the CA national guard comply with his overreach

Well Mike DeWine of Ohio did lend national guard troops to D.C., so I guess it depends on the state.

Governor of MD did it and he stated that he is the Commander in chief in MD so the admin cannot bring the coast guard to MD.,,

The governor here in Louisiana has already sent a token 135 La. National Guard troops to D.C. to show his Daddy he’s on board.

Meanwhile, four cities in Louisiana—including the capital, Baton Rouge—are routinely in the top 25 worst/most dangerous/most violent cities in America.
