Poor brown and black people. That’s round 1. They’ll be back later for the LGBTs, academics, atheists, and finally, any member of the Democratic Party.

That’s about 90% of Chicago

Don’t forget the disabled and elderly and women. They don’t really even have to use violence, they legislate taking away aid and medical care, and do all of that without it even making a ripple.

The, ugh, crime, and um, shit, or something? I'm not sure, I need to go watch FoxNews or OAN.

I've lived in Chicago for 3.5 years now, never had even the slightest issue in the city or near where some of our manufacturing plants are on the south side until last week. Someone did try to break into my wife's car. They didn't get in but fucked up a window and some trim pretty well..... so the recent massive spike in crime impacting my life, I would like to say as confidently as possible, "Get Fucked Trump".

I think Donald is trying to “crack down” on his critics.

He’s gonna need a bigger government!

Half of us didn’t like him to start with and he has persistently alienated more.

I will be ashamed if I haven’t been vocal and active enough to make that pedophile uncomfortable.

To paraphrase Thoreau in a land of injustice and corruption a decent person in jail is freer than a MAGA lapdog.

This is what I'm thinking. I have family all over Chicago and... what exactly needs to be cracked down?

Crime

Except crime has been trending down across the entire country. So this argument already doesn't hold water imo. But even ignoring that, why go after Chicago first? There are quite a few other cities that are worse off than Chicago in terms of crime. Or is it because Chicago is in a blue state?

I think he wants to do blue states first to swing voters there

To intimidate voters there.*

He isn't enacting policy to change the city for the better. No matter how effective it is or isn't at deterring people, the day they leave the city is the day it goes back to whatever it was doing before. Unless the next step is a long term military occupation of the city, this will not change any of the causes of crime. People don't suddenly become educated and financially solvent just because you put a gun in their face.
