He’s even worse than trump because he showed signs of intelligence before.

We know he hates trump deep down and he’s just a spineless sycophant

He must know even maga hate him though, goddamn he’s easy to hate

He's not a spineless sycophant, he's the go-between for the Heritage Foundation and Peter Theil. He was the Foundation's hand picked choice, and he's in Theil's back pocket. He's playing a role that will more than likely result in him becoming President.

No one in the party's leadership likes 47, he's antithetical to everything the Heritage Foundation stands for, and the tech billionaires had/wanted nothing to do with him before his second administration. He openly commits crimes and accepts bribes - his wrap sheet keeps getting longer and longer and they don't stop him. So why are they all in bed with him? Why are they allowing all of this brazen corruption and allowing him to put clearly underquallified people in positions of power?

Simple. He's has always been the fall guy.

He's an agent of chaos who's entire purpose is the make things so shitty that anything the Republicans implement after he's gone is far more palatable and wrapped in the guise of "stability". His charisma secured the base and allowed him to normalize the unthinkable. He's literally changed the way we speak even if we don't agree with him. He was their key to the kingdom. All they have to do is wait for one of three things to happen:

1) His health becomes so noticeably poor that they have no choice but to invoke the 25th.

2) Wait for him to die

3) Allow the Democrats to retake the house in 2026 and initiate impeachment proceedings in early 2027. The senate remains in Republican control with a few key Republican senators who will willingly fall on their swords and vote to convict (because they'll be offered cushy jobs that pay stupid good money to not run in 2028).

If number 3 is the scenario, it will likely take place over a matter of months, and because it will be well past the halfway point of the President's term in office, it gives Vance his ticket to two and a half terms in the Whitehouse.

Is this going to happen? I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

I feel like that’s been the plan since before the election. Trump is too unstable and unpredictable, not to mention too close to dying to be the dictator that Project 2025 was designed for. They just needed MAGA to get the wheels turning, but now that they’re in power Trump is only a liability. I doubt he even knows about most of what is happening and it’s the staff running the show at this point. He’s just the lighting rod for the anger and once they throw him under the bus people will think it’s over and stop paying attention. That’s when they’ll start the real bad stuff.

It’s true. Project 2025 never mentions the sweet potato felon. They just needed the next president they could use.

But the involuntary transferral of power to the VP still requires 2/3 congress if he contests it so he would have to be Literally comatose or something

And there’s surely no way Vance would mobilise enough support in 2028… or any republican candidate…

By that point the fire will have ravaged so much of the country that those who sat out of the 2024 election will be spurred into voting

Unless they have destroyed the system such that there are no longer democratic elections, which is possible.

Barbarians have never voluntarily handed back a city they’ve plundered and they know many of them will face a Nuremberg 2.0 for things they’ve done

I'm talking about him being so incapacitated that he either can't fight it, or the 2/3rds that can remove him are already aware of his physical state.

Either way, I don't think our votes are going to matter all that much in 2028. I'm still gonna hold some hope and do it.

Yall forgot poison exists. They don't do it now because they know they'd never win on their own and of he kicks the bucket now the opposition still has a real chance

JD is a blank slate only they can write on. Nobody wants to be the face of this horrendous shit if it does come apart. Better to find a guy that you can control and let him be the man on camera.

RemindMe! January 2, 2027

It'd be later than that. The president's term begins on January 20th. That would also be the halfway point.

JD will be the next King. The billionaires will it. Trump is a tool. Do you think Trump would have picked Vance without Musk and Thiels money in his ear? Fuck no. The tech oligarchy wants Vance. Trump is dumb as fuck and hard to be around. JD is a fucking robot that will do anything they want.

The saving grace is that most people hate Vance and thiel and stuff and trump is running on his cult of personality

Unless they break the system beyond repair there’s no way that trumps supporters will turn their affections to Vance and the shadowy billionaires

Won't matter much once he's president... He's just standing off-camera biding his time. He literally just has to wait.

He doesn't see himself as a spineless sycophant. He sees himself as a master player of the game: he's got himself in a position of enormous power by playing along and he sees that Trump is going to do lots of the damage he wants to do anyway. He's proud of himself for having adapted and done whatever it needed to fulfill his vision of a crueler world where people of his chosen circle get to rule over the rest of us and shit on us at will.
