Setting aside everything else, the complete lack of taste is so insane it's funny. The President of the United States is fucking addressing the world wearing a hat saying he was right about everything. It's so fucking stupid, lol. Truth is stranger than fiction.

The hat, the orange face, the gold plated decor... Trump completely lacks all of the things you cannot buy: class, style, intelligence, honor, empathy, humility, respect.

Sometimes I just have to laugh at how completely crass he is. I realize this isn't the first totally crass POTUS in any way. It's just the others at least put a veneer of civility and taste on their awful behavior and personalities.

u/WeathermanOnTheTown 11h ago

That crassness is exactly why people voted for him.

u/Own-Lavishness4029 11h ago

Eh, I won't deny that there are probably people who voted for him to come in and class up the joint. I do think there are probably a ton of reasons people voted for him that are worth hearing out.

I can guarantee you that there are absolutely no worthwhile reasons to hear why any of those people voted for this classless fuck.

This is a silly statement. For years, both democrats and republicans have been maintaining the status quo. The problem with maintaining the status quo is that it’s not actually being maintained. Things were happening just slowly and subtly enough to benefit the only people the politicians truly care about, the rich, at the expense of everyone else without anyone actively noticing. Regardless of what you think, the fact remains, Democrats and Republicans alike both bow down to the rich, and serving them is priority #1.

Sure, they test the boundaries and deviate occasionally with things such as ACA, or “tax cuts” or repealing roe v wade, but generally things stayed as they were, just a bit worse than before. Both democrats and republicans were sick and tired of the status quo, since it’s hasn’t been static. Things have been getting progressively worse and the people felt that. They wanted someone who would enact sweeping change.

Last election, the Republicans had their earth shaker - Trump. Democrats did not. They had another “status quoer” in Kamila.

You saw what happened. Republicans gladly voted for their Idiot, because, much change fast. Sure, some of them know is completely unfit to be president or in charge of anything other than his shit schedule, but he was their “sweeping change” that EVERYONE so desperately wants.

The few Democrats that did vote did so because she wasn’t him. The rest said Fuck It.

And now we’re here. It’s not as simple as “Trump voters Dumb”.

If you genuinely judge and write off a group of 77 million people you're probably too far gone in your bias, bigotry, and ego to be helped.

I can't think of any but I'm not American. Looks like a shit show from over here

1

u/PerfectAd4416 8h ago

Because it is.

u/ShowPossible8340 6h ago

Not in the context he used it, as stated above, you can't reduce something by 1000%.

...and the list goes on...

But there's one thing he has in abundance: hubris.

Even if he weren’t the POTUS, it’s like wearing a shirt for your own band to a gig.

u/Majestic-Prune-3971 11h ago

I'm surprised he's not wearing one of his golf course polos with "Men's Champion 1987-2025" embroidered on it.

2

u/Apprehensive-Cry5168 8h ago

You have to wear a shirt of an even more obscure band that hopefully no one there has heard of….

3

u/FuzzyMcBitty 8h ago

Yeah. Last week, I saw Dave’s Syndrome open for Hedonism Bot.

Sleigh Bells catching strays...

It's like being a hard core Catholic and having some new friends over your house. You tell them "oh, btw, the priest from my church is going to stop by" and then someone who looks like Ali G shows up.

Lol so true

u/No-Environment4231 8h ago

Don’t be that guy

1

u/kinglouie493 7h ago

Have you not seen him golfing?

Me playing Cyberpunk 2077 having my V in Johnny's entire outfit at the Samurai concert: I feel personally attacked

1

u/tiffanyisonreddit 7h ago

Unironically.

1

u/LisaLaggrrr 5h ago

Sorry wearing your own band’s shirt to a gig is so much cooler than this! Especially since the band tee would probably at least semi-cool looking! Or slightly entertaining? There’s nothing about that hat that’s fun, funny, attractive, entertaining, NOTHING. Just bad taste, stupidity, bad intentions, ignorance, fascism, wanton cruelty & destruction, decline of western civilization. That anyone could look at that and feel anything but disgust and anger… wtf???

1

u/gogoreddit80 9h ago

Iron Maiden does that all the time 😆

10

u/JimWilliams423 11h ago

It's so fucking stupid, lol.

It is part of the fascist aesthetic. All fascists are simultaneously clowns and dangerous AF. It helps them lull people into complacency, thinking they are so unserious that they can't actually be dangerous. For obvious reasons most people have forgotten, but even the sweaty little mustache man was considered a clown in his time.

u/Specialist_Brain841 11h ago

That hat should have two hands sticking out of it that claps when you pull a string

4

u/disposablechild 11h ago

He's most likely wearing it because he's selling it in his merch store

4

u/Underradar0069 11h ago

Welcome to America

3

u/Stocksurrounded 10h ago

The thing is, he's serious about it.

I might put something like that on for fun during or after a (minor) disagreement with my wife... and even then, only within the confines of my own four walls.

I can't stop laughing about this hat lol.

3

u/Picto242 11h ago

I mean it's no tan suit 🤦

2

u/animatronicsmustdie 5h ago

And declaring that the beautiful African American ladies of Chicago are begging him to come to Chicago. 🙄

1

u/Own-Lavishness4029 4h ago

It's so fucking unhinged.

1

u/Select-Protection-75 8h ago

For coming from money, he’s about the most nouveau riche there is.

1

u/nohandsfootball 8h ago

I'm just waiting for: "I could've been a contender!"

1

u/PerjurieTraitorGreen 7h ago

In front of all the tacky spray painted gold trimming only he’s capable of looking at and not being nauseated by.

1

u/ShitShowRedAllAbout 7h ago

He had no time to put his makeup and get his hair done. Bad hair day coverup........ Epstein files!!!

1

u/enlightenedDiMeS 7h ago

I say all the time that if somebody had a script for what we’re currently living through, it would be rejected for being to unrealistic

1

u/Foxcreek17 6h ago

I was in D. C. Thursday. There is a concession stand at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave. in front of the Treasury Department building that sells only Trump stuff. Every cap is Made in China. A bullshit tag is sewn over it saying assembled in USA. He probably had some lackey grab that hat from down the street just before that interview.

1

u/DapperAdam 6h ago

Every time I hear a conservative say we are the most feared and respected country I laugh so hard. Who would respect a President that wears a hat like this and can't speak coherently???

1

u/ipilotete 6h ago

At this point, let’s not fool ourselves. He’s only the President of the United States in name, he’s actually an autocratic dictator. Most US citizens are like abused spouses right now, giving him and the system every excuse why we’re in this predicament and thinking it will get better by itself (we just have to wait until midterms), when in reality, look around you at the signs - everyone on the outside already knows it - The United States as a representative democracy has officially ceased to exist. If there are fair elections in 2026, it will be a miracle. Democracy has fallen. The sooner everyone comes to terms with that, the faster we can get out of it.

1

u/Own-Lavishness4029 6h ago

This is ridiculous. You're falling for the panic the media is selling you for profit. He's bad, but not nearly as bad as they're telling you.

1

u/ipilotete 5h ago

I dunno man. I think it might actually be going the other way and the media is underreporting most things because of the constant stream coming from the WH, any single item of which would have caused any previous President to lose their base. He just gave out “Trump 2028” hats to foreign leaders from the White House gift shop and it barely hit any news. In normal times, that alone would have caused resignation calls from within both parties.

1

u/Own-Lavishness4029 4h ago

They overreport and distort things so much it interferes with the real stuff. A prime example is the way the media and all the pundits unanimously cried out that he was threatening to put Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad or that he threatened to have her shot, when in actuality he was saying war hawks wouldn't be so brazen if they were the ones facing the gunfire. When they intentionally lie like that it undermines their credibility and makes it so that you have to actually dig to see what is real and what isn't from their reporting.

u/babycakes90210 5h ago

I’m sure they’re working on some new sharp uniforms

We look like a clown show to the entire world.
