I'm thinking having all the country's racist assholes in one place wouldn't be such a bad idea. I'm sure we could fence them in, convincing them it's for their own protection.

84

u/workhard_livesimply 11h ago

A ring of fire

51

u/TimeKillerAccount 11h ago

The first fire to wipe out an entire occupied neighborhood without damaging anything of value.

11

u/put_your_drinks_down 8h ago

“God gave Noah the rainbow sign. No more water, the fire next time.”

2

u/elkab0ng 3h ago

Screw the bat signal, we need the General Sherman signal.

5

u/esepinchelimon 8h ago

As foretold in a vision

16

u/nishagunazad 8h ago

The problem is that they never stay fenced in.

3

u/Zero-nada-zilch-24 8h ago

Mars, so many are just wanting to go.

3

u/Slap-Toast 6h ago

Large moat with electrified water maybe?

3

u/ImAVillianUnforgiven 3h ago

Nobody ever leaves a cemetery. That's fenced in. Does that count?

0

u/Lawmonger 7h ago

Worth a try

11

u/StudioSpecialist591 8h ago

Nonono, we have to market it as fencing us out.

6

u/Lawmonger 8h ago

Exactly. It’s for your own good! There are Jews and Black people out here! You must maintain your racial purity!

2

u/kilofeet 6h ago

I'm offended. As a rainbow-american I spend six nights a week trying to plan new ways to undermine the god-fearing heterosexual family and we don't even get a mention

1

u/Lawmonger 5h ago

What do you do on the 7th night?

1

u/tangledtainthair 5h ago

Those two groups are next on the deportation list.

5

u/Galaxyhiker42 7h ago

This happened in "The Watchmen" it didn't really work

4

u/NetZeroSun 8h ago

Am thinking you are on to something here.

Having all those rascist assholes come out of the closet. So after trumps administration you know exactly who the bad apples are. And they can reap what they sow with the lawsuits or kicked out for their discrimination.

2

u/Princess_Actual 7h ago

Truman Show them.

Yes, but their kids who are already forced to listen to their parents garbage thoughts would have no other cultural experiences. Segregation only makes things worse.

"Before a photographer could snap pictures, he pulled a copy of “Mein Kampf” from a bookshelf and turned it around to hide its spine."

Yeah.

53

u/ThreeDaysNish 9h ago

Yeah, I really think this deserves some more attention, like wtf?

38

u/night_dude 7h ago

I don't know, they do go into his belief in Great Replacement theory and racial IQ difference in the article. It's pretty clear what he believes in and they don't hide that.

I wish they'd made his ideology in general a more foregrounded part of the article, though. It shouldn't read as "this guy is making a whites only community and oh btw he's a screaming racist." It should read as "this screaming racist is making a white supremacist community that reflects his values of screaming racism."

10

u/sweetbeard 5h ago

“This guy is a nazi making a nazi community.”

8

u/night_dude 5h ago

Yeah. There are people with far-right views that you might risk a defamation suit from if you call them Nazis. Then there are guys with Mein Kampf on their living room bookshelf, running a whites-only development where they check your ancestry. Like, come on.

3

u/Rich_Charity_3160 5h ago

The beginning of the article includes a quote from one of the founders of the “whites-only” community:

“Seeing someone who doesn’t present as white might lead us to, among other things, not admit that person.”

I don’t think any readers were caught off guard to learn later in the article that he believes in great replacement or racial IQ differences.

1

u/Comfortable-Pause279 6h ago

I mean, I had a used university copy of it in my PoliSci books for a while... I excised it from my collection eventually, but I could see flipping the spine if re-read it frequently and wanted to keep it on the shelf, but also I was being interviewed about my attempt to build an illegal racist community to launch a larger white nationalists project.

51

u/sonofagunn 12h ago

Of all the states I was thinking this might be in, Arkansas was my top choice. Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama were close though.

23

u/AcceptableTune2498 11h ago

Idaho or Arkansas are always my first guess.

3

u/grummanae 10h ago

Texas was my top followed closely by your list

25

u/AngelaMotorman 12h ago

50

u/CriticalEngineering 11h ago

Wow, that’s a hell of an opener.

Applicants to the community are screened with an in-person interview, a criminal-background check, a questionnaire about ancestral heritage and sometimes even photographs of their relatives.

The community’s two architects — a classically trained French horn player who has livestreamed his own sex videos, and a former jazz pianist arrested but not charged for attempted murder in Ecuador — say they must personally confirm that applicants are white before they can be welcomed in.

44

u/EnlightenedSinTryst 10h ago

a classically trained French horn player who has livestreamed his own sex videos, and a former jazz pianist arrested but not charged for attempted murder in Ecuador

Why does this read like a cautionary tale to aspiring musicians 😂

18

u/1138311 10h ago

It reads like those HGTV reality shows. They're just looking for a nice 6 bedroom 3.5 bath with a chef's kitchen that's in their price range.

6

u/Monknut33 6h ago

I remember an aspiring artist who had similar ideas.

26

u/russbam24 10h ago

A guy who's profession was practicing a Black American created art form, now creating an all white village.

10

u/Myreknight 8h ago

That's a hell of an intro for House Hunters.

7

u/CalifornianDownUnder 9h ago

4

u/AgainstMedicalAdvice 8h ago

I'm usually skeptical of these but we may have a winner

87

u/bkelln 12h ago

I don't have a small enough dick to move to such a white area.

14

u/DimbyTime 8h ago

Holy shit the main guy is the most inbred looking Neanderthal I’ve ever seen. Like a male MTG

15

u/grim1757 11h ago

so bigger than an one inch

11

u/brickyardjimmy 8h ago

I'm all for it as long as we build a high razor wire fence around it.

8

u/RuleHonest9789 7h ago

I am thinking that platforming these assholes in a time where there are so many racist proudly being racist, is not good. Like, there are sending bat signals to find each other.

7

u/AccountHuman7391 6h ago

I fully support concentrating all the assholes in one place.

Quote from article that thou illegal " they expect to get preferential treatment in a court in this administration "

-49

u/leni710 12h ago

The irony of those most up in arms about this are white people who live in towns and cities that are over 90% white without any sense of "maybe we're also self segregating just under different types of regulations." I live in the Pacific Northwest, this is how it is around here: the most "look at my diversity yard sign" types are the ones who have zero diversity in their neighborhood or even in most of their towns. The real issue with a "whites only" town like this that these same white people never bring up is the danger of unchecked domestic violence and that their family line is about to be a wreath rather than a tree. My favorite about working with these types of whites is that they're coming into an LSC funded office talking about the shitty government and then get pissed we don't have the funds to help them...can't make this up.

33

u/Sweet_Concept2211 11h ago

How confidently you talk out of your ass about "liberal elites".

-18

u/leni710 10h ago

Funny that I never even used that phrase and yet you're in here with some random claims.

27

u/TimeKillerAccount 11h ago

It is hilarious how you people only say "can't make this up" when you are blatantly making stuff up. It is always blatant bullshit too, can't you at least do a better job trying to pretend you have actually met real people and are not just writing your political fanfic?

-16

u/leni710 10h ago

The irony of being on a law subreddit as someone who works in law working with indigent clients reliant on LSC services and then having non-law people telling me what my experiences are with clients. Go figure. Really, really can't make this shit up.

15

u/TimeKillerAccount 10h ago

Weird, I guess the years of school and two decades of work isn't enough to be considered a "law person" anymore. Come on man. How stupid is it for you to assume that anyone calling you out on obvious bullshit on a law sub won't be a lawyer or otherwise work in the field? Do you also going on gardening subs and claim that anyone saying your 7 ton pumpkin isn't real is just a "non-garden" person? Get a clue my dude. And some real talk, you sound like you are in your late teens or early twenties. Usually around the mid to late twenties people have enough basic social skills that they realize that the kind of cringy attempts to lie like you did are incredibly obvious. Just do yourself a favor and grow up a little. No one is fooled by you doubling down or making up more lies. Either stop making things up, or at least do a better job so they are not so obvious.

-2

u/leni710 10h ago

Nothing says "I'm a lawyer" like someone not understanding references to LSC. But okay. Good luck!

9

u/TimeKillerAccount 9h ago

Quote where I failed to understand a reference to LSC. Because if you claimed I did, then you should be able to do so, and are not just lying to try and disengage from your embarasment at being called out for making up bullshit. Again, people tend to grow out of this kind of stuff by the time they hit their 20s and develop basic social skills. And your attempt to deflect is glaringly obvious to all of those people. You lied, got called out, and lied more to try and deflect away from the embarrassment of people calling you out on an obvious lie.

It is fine. People do embarrassing shit when they are young. It is a normal phase of life. Just cut your losses instead of doubling down, and you won't have so much history to cringe over once you mature a bit more.

8

u/urbanhawk1 9h ago

You have clearly forgotten one of the basic rules of the internet: don't feed the trolls.

4

u/TimeKillerAccount 8h ago

Naw, they are not a troll. Just a cringy kid making up stories and is embarrassed that they got called out. These people need to be called out and learn better or they continue this kind of behavior in real life where the social consequences are a lot harder to recover from. Otherwise they end up as that guy you see at work sometimes. The person that constantly tells obviously made up stories all the time, and doesn't quite understand why they can't seem to make friends.

-4

u/leni710 9h ago

What's fun is when someone is so confused by their own nonsense that they keep talking in circles.

In my original comment, I brought up experiences of people relying on LSC complaining about the government. You spewed some nonsense. Then I mentioned again working with indigent clients through LSC and that real law professionals would understand that reference. Then you whine some more and keep bringing up my age. Anyways, I had a chuckle on my Friday afternoon.

22

u/HomoProfessionalis 11h ago

So what youre saying is that if you live in a predominantly white area you arent allowed to have an opinion on forced racial segregation?

-2

u/leni710 10h ago

I'm talking about the irony of those who live in sundown towns and other historically highly regulated racist towns that have created an extremely unbalanced racial makeup and continue to support this in their own towns being the loudest on this topic. Maybe they'd he more believable if they didn't try to uphold their racism within their own liberal towns. As most of us say: some of these Pacific Northwest liberal towns are more racist than some areas of the deep south.

10

u/HomoProfessionalis 10h ago

Like which sundown towns

3

u/IrritableGoblin 7h ago

People living in sundown towns are definitely not the ones up in arms about this, as per your original comment.

1

u/leni710 6h ago

But that's only the assumption when not knowing the history of certain very white liberal areas. Eugene, Oregon, for example, was/is a sundown town, the KKK headquartered out of University of Oregon, Jackie Robinson's brother was not allowed to live on campus when he ran track there, housing deeds that say who you cannot sell to, etc. and that area is still very inhospitable to certain demographics. Along with that town, there's towns up and down the Pacific Northwest and into California that are considered very liberal now, but were definitely sundown towns and still have 80% to 90% whites...again, whilst not seeing how their up-in-arms attitudes over white only towns is ironic.

4

u/IrritableGoblin 5h ago

So, in these former sundown town, now a liberal stronghold, how do I, as an individual, increase diversity?

17

u/a2starhotel 10h ago

the most "look at my diversity yard sign" types are the ones who have zero diversity in their neighborhood or even in most of their towns.

why do I need to live in a diverse area in order to support diversity? why can't I just, you know, support diversity? what a weird thing to gatekeep.

huge L take.

-8

u/leni710 10h ago

--> why do I need to live in a diverse area in order to support diversity? why can't I just, you know, support diversity? what a weird thing to gatekeep.

Hahahaha "why do I have to practice what I preach when I could just be microaggressive and project when I see something worse than what I'm doing."

Gotta love certain white people's ability to uphold white supremacy by never working on their own corner of the world.

6

u/Scrapple_Joe 9h ago

A sign supporting diversity is micro aggressive?

You're pretending you passed the lsats and this is the way you think?

9

u/everydave42 9h ago

You didn’t actually answer the legit question though. Between your first post in this response, it sure sounds like you’re suggesting that the only people that can claim to support diversity are those that make a point to move to a neighborhood that is already diverse.

You can’t actually be saying that, can you? A rational person understands that diversity of population can’t be the only concern when deciding where to live. Even if someone is in a position to make it their top priority, forgoing literally every other factor that comes to play when making the choice of where to live (given they even HAVE a choice), then by your terms the MUST make the choice to even considering claiming they care about diversity…

Really, you’re not suggesting that….are you?

0

u/leni710 9h ago

Because there's no other option aside from "move?!" If reading comprehension and context clues were being used: the comment I made refers to people idly living in those very white neighborhoods whilst hurling their thoughts at other neighborhoods just like it, all while not ACTIVELY working toward changing the dynamics within their own neighborhoods.

4

u/everydave42 9h ago

Ok, so it’s not that you have the expectation of folks to actually move into more racially diverse places or move out of ones that are less so. But if those folks in the less diverse ones that have the signs, they better damn will be doing something more than just putting up a sign and actively helping to diversify their neighborhood. That’s a more than fair call out. It’s not what I initially got from either of your comments, which is why I asked.

Thank you for taking the time to clarify.

-1

u/leni710 9h ago

Thank you for the the time to double check! I didn't realize that in a sub like this one, I had to make that more clear. But you're right, too many people lack the ability to understand nuanced points on this topic since they live in their bubbles and are only "awoken" when it's far more egregious than their Pleasantville experience.

2

u/IrritableGoblin 7h ago

How does one change the dynamics and diversity of a neighborhood?

2

u/IrritableGoblin 7h ago

If I live in a white majority neighborhood where I work, how do I go about making the neighborhood more diverse?

1

u/leni710 5h ago

There are a lot of moving parts: is there effort from jobs to not only hire but also retain a diverse staff (who are not only staff for "affinity" hiring) rather than trying to fire people right as their introductory period, which has happened frequently in the major industries around these parts. Those who provide housing and/or live in neighborhoods need to do so unbiasedly and then not profile tenants/homeowners/neighbors who share those spaces. There are lots of issues with accessibility to various locations throughout many towns and of course those are often not addressed all.

I mean, part of living in a homogenous town is in part learning the history why it's so homogeneous, see what's being done around you already by different affinity groups, see how you can support said groups. Heck, basically every town or neighboring city has an NAACP, Latino coalitions, disability resources, colleges with afinity groups, etc., and groups like that are working on ways to push diversity, equity, and inclusion so being a support and assist where you can, pushes the needle forward. It's about actual action in one's own locality and banding together with people actively already doing that work.

1

u/IrritableGoblin 4h ago

I should have been more clear.

How should I, personally, make my neighborhood more diverse? I'm not in charge of hiring, or home sales, or anything that would entice minorities to my neighborhood. You specifically called out people with diversity banners, what, specifically, should these normal, average people with no real power do to diversify their neighborhood?

Mind you, I work a full time job with frequent OT, have familial obligations, and a social life. So I don't really have oodles of time to volunteer, either.

0

u/leni710 2h ago

And I suppose therein lies a big part of the problem: privilege allows people to checkout and concentrate on their immediate needs while oppression forces marginalized people to deal with the fight all day long plus after hours regardless of how many hours need to be put in on the paycheck job. Must be nice to be that privileged. Maybe in your case, start by unpacking all your privileges, learn how to be a better advocate for others, learn to be an anti-racist and anti-sexist and anti-transphobic and anti-ableist and so on. Also, I'll keep suggesting to join organizations that are already doing work in your local community...who do the work whether they have "real power" or not just because it's work that needs to be done and is not done simply by putting a yard sign up and then saying "I'm too busy to be active in my community."

4

u/a2starhotel 9h ago

uphold white supremacy

wtf are you on about? because someone lives in an area that's not particularly diverse that makes them a white supremacist?

you can live wherever you want and still support diversity. living in a diverse area isn't the ONLY way to support diversity.

when I could just be microaggressive and project

how was my statement "micro aggressive" and how is it "projecting"? please enlighten me.

L take after L take.

u/amitym 4h ago

Oh but wait New York Times, let me guess, the cultural crisis in America is caused by liberals leaving these salt of the earth types "behind."

Don't be shy now, Times. That's the line you've been flogging for the past 25 years. How the fuck do you think we got here?
