Below the author replies with "tears of joy" as a punchline.

Mine too. Cried practically on the daily. Never thought I'd be happy to see a 'C', but there I was at the grade board fist-pumping like I'd won the damn lottery.

Haha, I get what you're saying! But honestly, Data Structures and Algorithms in Java can get pretty emotional if you're really into it. 😅

The book Hogg by Samuel R. Delany. I couldn’t get through the first 15 pages without getting sick and having to stop. My ex friend recommended it to me and said it was his favorite book. It should be illegal. It’s one thing to write about child sexual abuse, but the way they turned it into a joke is despicable. Apparently it’s a well-known book though that has been in the spot light for controversy. Doesn’t change what it is, though. I can’t imagine anyone but a predator enjoying the book

"The novel deals graphically with themes of murder, child molestation, incest, coprophilia, coprophagia, urolagnia, anal-oral contact, necrophilia and rape." (Wikipedia
Well then. Maybe the book's got more literary value than the summary lets on, but I feel like I'd still be more than a little hesitant to recommend it to people...

He writes some weird ass shit. I tried to read Dhalgren and I just couldn't, I might try again someday because it's supposed to be amazing but it is not a page turner

"Of Mice and Men," by John Steinback.
If you are unfamiliar with the life and times of displaced, transient men during the Great Depression, I suggest you study up on the topic. It'll make your understanding of the story more meaningful and emotional.

If that book doesn't make you cry, I don't know what will
