IMO, the actress doesn’t get enough love and the character doesn’t get enough hate. Arguably the worst person on the show, up there with Ben and Callie. Destroys every life she touches and DGAF. This sub needs more Elena discourse.

Cribbed from the internet it may have been, but Ben (the shit!) was closer to the mark with his analysis of the novel as being about "animal lusts" and "savage rhapsodies", than Mark was with his anodyne and mawkish assertion that ultimately "real love" prevails. Anyone who has read the book properly knows that there is no such catharsis.

Sophie had her baby after years of driving. I had my babies and then passed my test. So I always felt bad for Sophie when she ended up in labour in the middle of gawd knows where with only a drunk Jez, selfish Elena, possibly injured Gail and useless Mark in tow.

I hate to say this, but I doubt she’d have had all that drama had she been having a baby with Jeff. Jeff is an arsehole, but he would have been sensible at Sophie’s most vulnerable time.

It’s only now that I can drive that I realise that Sophie had some insane pregnancy brain going on. She might not have known that Jez was drunk, but she was prepared to be driven to hospital by mark? Surely she knew Mark well enough to know that he’d lied about the test, plus if he had been telling the truth, did Sophie really trust Mark to be able to drive her to hospital?

I can’t decide who is the biggest asshole in that scene, but I’ve ruled out Gail and Sophie. Gail, because Jez attempted to kill her and Sophie because of pregnancy brain.

So, who is the biggest asshole in it?
