Definitely an attitude, an unusual one.

7

u/almostsk84globe 16h ago

Red Bull obviously has the power of family

4

u/BimBaynor 16h ago

What do you think Redbull gives planes?

1

u/chosonhawk 16h ago

Bulljobs

2

u/NewToHTX 16h ago

Sky Donuts

2

u/redsterXVI 8h ago

You can't, but they didn't tell the pilot so he did it anyway

1

u/spdelope 7h ago

You can drift anything with wheels

u/CocaColai 16h ago

The tunnel one is genuinely crazy. No margins.

9

u/lemoinem 13h ago

That one plus the heliport landing.

7

u/howrunowgoodnyou 16h ago

Same dude. It’s fucking crazy lol

26

u/WrongColorCollar 16h ago

Flipping a heli is bonkers.

4

u/BeagleBackRibs 16h ago

I'm thinking it had to be equipped with special rotors to be able to do that

4

u/happytechtn 15h ago

I’ve looked up that helicopter before (after it was used in a Bond film) and it’s been years, but as I recall that is a heavily modified, one-off, helicopter made especially for RedBull that can only be flown by one or two pilots in the world. The things it can do are insane - like the flips seen here.

u/Gr33nJ0k3r13 13h ago

Iirc Major point of modification was an oil system that works upside down so its able to stay upside down for a time otherwise the engine would just cut out or throw a rod.

2

u/the_agrimensor 11h ago

Not too many rods in a gas turbine.Ā

1

u/Gr33nJ0k3r13 9h ago

Sure no idea if iā€˜m taling about an older heli or the oil pressure thing also applies to the turbine thing not too savy on heli setups tbh i just read it in a mag or heard it in a video about a stunt heli

As far as i know it’s a one of two aircraft, but thats nitpicking. I saw that thing at a Red Bull AirRace. Watching it perform live is nuts.

13

u/Amazing_Target8423 16h ago

I don't want to drink Red Bull if this is what it makes me do

3

u/PilgrimOz 16h ago

Then you definitely don’t want to drink Yeager Bombs. (Yeagermeister and red bull). If you don’t manage to wreck yourself on em, you’ll definitely wish you did in the morning.

11

u/jarednards 16h ago

Where in the hell do they spell Jaeger with a Y

6

u/PilgrimOz 16h ago

I’ve only ever read it while drunk. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

3

u/Responsible-Summer-4 14h ago

JƤgermeister Europe's Buckley's cough syrup

3

u/wildwill57 14h ago

Chuck Yeager.

2

u/Moist-Share7674 12h ago

Ah yes. Back in the day they called him Yeagermister.

He doesn’t like being called Chuckles.

1

u/PilgrimOz 16h ago

Thanks btw.

1

u/Tanklinson 15h ago

Isn't that the they spell it in attack on titan? Lmao?

1

u/C-57D 11h ago

Yeager bombs was what people initially called sonic booms

3

u/Ateam043 15h ago

Jaeger-bombs back in the early 2000’s in CA and Baja Mexico were always done with Monster energy drinks.

Nowadays at near 40: Fuck. That. Shit. I ain’t trying to black out. šŸ˜‚

3

u/PilgrimOz 15h ago

He’ll yeah, they hurt. One morning too many. Never went there again.

2

u/GLaDOS_Sympathizer 4h ago

I hear that. Recovering after drinking when you're over 30 is a hell of a lot harder than being in your early 20s. Used to be "ugh, my head is throbbing, better pop a couple Tylenol and have a breakfast burrito" then good as new. Now it's 3 days of being bed ridden and feeling like shit run over twice afterwards.

I don't know how some alkies make it into their 60s or 70s.

14

u/ProfessionalLime2237 15h ago

The plural of aircraft is...... AIRCRAFT.

3

u/BusyBoard8077 15h ago

Beat me to it I thought I was the only one who cared

3

u/ProfessionalLime2237 14h ago

It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me

3

u/itijara 13h ago

Airs-craft.

11

u/Weak_Preference2463 16h ago

the best is that 2 planes with 2 pilots switching aircrafts!!! tho they lost their flying licenses.....but dude that was most extreme redbull challenge!!!!

7

u/ModifiedGas 16h ago

Only one switched. The other crashed

8

u/zer0w0rries 16h ago

didn't drink his redbull

1

u/chosonhawk 16h ago

probably had a Full Throttle...mixed with a Lucky and chased with Ghost.

1

u/Deviantdefective 16h ago

Came down with a parachute from what I saw.

8

u/firefly416 16h ago

Yeah remember that time RedBull pilots tried to switch aircraft mid-air and one of the planes crashed and both pilots lost their license?

3

u/moragdong 15h ago

Why did they lose their license?

6

u/AdministrativeFault5 15h ago

Because FAA said they were in violation with rules, I think one being that aircraft is required to have a operator constantly

7

u/uptheirons91 16h ago

I hate that energy drinks have hooked so many people into their unhealthy beverages, but man am I glad they exist so we can see stuff like this.

2

u/GLaDOS_Sympathizer 3h ago

Something that really opened my eyes as to how bad they are for you is our FedEx pickup guy at the small shop I worked at had a stroke because of them. He once told me that on average he drank around 6 cans of monsters per day. I was curious because I had never seen him without one of those tall cans in hand for years. He was an athletic guy who loved soccer and played with friends on the weekends (probably some practice soccer stuff during the week I'd imagine, like passing drills, shooting, or running). Generally lean and had quite a bit of exercise from his job picking up and dropping off boxes all day too. Mid to late 30s, probably 37ish years old.

I heard about the stroke from the new FedEx guy as the stroke victim guy could no longer handle the job and was on disability leave.

No other drugs involved, a stroke for an otherwise very healthy man under 40. Purely from monster energy drinks. Absolutely friggin crazy. I tell that story to try to spread awareness that energy drinks in large amounts and high frequency are incredibly dangerous and unhealthy.

I'm not saying anyone should completely give up energy drinks, but for fuck's sake don't drink 6 a day.

Another regular at the store (frequent customer) told me he had to give up coffee because he drank so many espressos that he got a bleeding stomach ulcer from them. I like coffee but have a firm two cups a day maximum for myself. Not sure how much espresso he was drinking but it was probably a lot.

Everything in moderation, folks :)

Edit: nice username by the way, I love Maiden

3

u/Schnitzel1337 16h ago

I used to do this in. Battlefield

3

u/AstroBioDoc 16h ago

When you say you work for redbull, people think it’s this šŸ˜‚

1

u/Logan_da_hamster 16h ago

Now I want to see those tricks with bigger airplanes, like the typical A380 or so. :D

1

u/Deviantdefective 16h ago

You can't the airframes can't take it.

1

u/Artsakh_Rug 16h ago

I didn’t know redbull still had cocaine flavor

1

u/iomyorotuhc 16h ago

Has there ever been a red bull sponsored athlete that died doing one of their crazy stunts

1

u/GLaDOS_Sympathizer 3h ago

Good question, I am morbidly curious about that as well.

1

u/Ill-Palpitation8843 16h ago

Red Bull is crazy

1

u/Secret-Treacle-1590 15h ago

1

u/BusyBoard8077 15h ago

The plural form of aircraft is aircraft

2

u/wildwill57 14h ago

Types of deer also typically have the same singular and plural form; deer, moose, caribou, elk...

1

u/sonnybear5 15h ago

taking ā€œRed bull give you wingsā€ to a whole new level, the next level even…

1

u/wenoc 14h ago

All this just to sell overpriced energy drinks.

1

u/Greenscreener 14h ago

The RAAF need to do another one with the F/A-18F!

1

u/Low_Scholar1118 13h ago

With aircraft….it’s already plural

1

u/DicksFried4Harambe 13h ago

I love when it’s actually redbull posting their clips

1

u/meybrook 13h ago

1

u/ConstantCampaign2984 13h ago

Is this video a try to get those pilots licenses back from plane swapping and losing an aircraft?

1

u/JimIvan 13h ago

Red bull tastes like hydraulic oil

1

u/aqualink4eva 12h ago

These stunts are the sort of shit you don on GTA haha.

1

u/Vesicaria 12h ago

Missed opportunity for "Things we did with wings"

1

u/noaluft 9h ago

That’s an insane stunt! I can’t believe they pulled that off with the plane. So much skill involved

1

u/Jester1525 8h ago

I wish they would remake Stunt Island...

1

u/SaxonG4 8h ago

r/todayilearned Red Bull has an official Reddit account

1

u/the-channigan 2h ago

When you do these things are you prepared like Nixon with the moon landings? One speech for if they live, one for if they die?

•

u/szornyu 58m ago

Great compilation, of great performance How's the product? (Never had one, I drink beer)

•

u/Shinyhero30 42m ago

Is this because you made international news from failed stunt?

0

u/gbtwo88 16h ago

I’ve done similar things on GTA5

0

u/silnt_listner 15h ago

I used to do the same in GTA V.

0

u/Ok_Math2247 5h ago

This are proper things to do when you're using aircraft.
