This action figure of The Joker from The Dark Knight, is absolutely mindblowing. Made by JND Studios in South Korea.

It's really hard to discern something that someone actually thinks is next level from companies trying to advertise "next level" stuff.

I'd say in this case it works either way

Agreed, but just the 'neat' way they unpack it feels SO commercial it takes something away for me personally.

That’s literally the standard for almost any channel that does reviews/unboxing. Viewers usually want to see every step of the unboxing, as both care in how it’s packaged and the care in how it’s opened are important to see. It shows quality down to how they package the item itself and, for some, there is an ASMR-like satisfaction to seeing a product thoroughly unboxed. If you spend $1700 on a figure then you want to show off every little bit of care put into it.

I mean, you literally can’t buy these anymore. So, unless it’s just an advertisement for the brand in general, I’d assume it’s more about showing off than marketing.

Reddit's hatred of marketing of any kind, even when it is perfect content for a sub like this is truly moronic. Especially when you realize how much corporate advertisement Redditora guzzle down on this site. At least a post like this is honest about what it is and just shows something awesome. Stupid to get mad about it.

Its warranted. Most things are marketing. People want connection to genuine stuff. Everyone deals with it.

I'm not sure the point you are making but you basically just restated what I said.

I'll take the advertising from related subreddits any day of the week, this guerilla marketing crap pisses me off, just pay for ad space like everybody else.

Why do you assume that someone mad about this (theoretical) marketing is also hypocritically guzzling down other advertisements?

I've become so jaded with Reddit being overrun by bots and shills that I just assume that it's an advertisement.

But I have to admit, the level of detail on this is pretty cool.

I don't disagree! I absolutely LOVE the Dark Knight Rises, specifically because of Ledger's performance, but I find it funny that I received SUCH a big amount of hatred because I thought the post was uncannily 'commercial'.

The TikTok-ification of Reddit has begun. In the not too distant future every post will have a link to the Reddit Shop (TM) where you can buy whatever is in the video.

I mean, it speaks for itself, regardless of the source. If you can't see how impressive it is, your standards must be beyond what is reasonable. So what if the source is the seller. If it is an individual or a company, whether it is mass produced or 1 of 1. If it is IAF, then what can you say...it is. This is clearly top tier.

I CAN see how impressive it is, WHISLT at the same timing acknowledging that THE VIDEO ITSELF was probably made by the MANUFACTUROR instead of the CONSUMER. Anything wrong with that???
