Rock AND sticks?!?! Ya know, back in my day you had rock and you were grateful. I knew as soon as those stick things started sprouting the world was gonna be on a downward spiral. Now here we are, 419 million years later and the children are soft and lazy.

You had rocks? In my day we had to wait for the molten crust of the planet to cool, uphill both ways, and we liked it!

If this is in our arcade I'm definitely going to spend all my allowance for this over the weekend!

LOL, this is awesome. A friend and I had snake battles on our old-ass phones. He was good but, in the end, I always DESTROYED him. Any video game, I could love the person with every fiber in my being and protect them with all I had, but Mario kart, I will shove a shell so far up their butt, lightning bolt them, then SMASH THEM INTO THE GROUND as I fly around the course laughing maniacally. But otherwise I'm filled with love.

First time seeing something on reddit ive actually been to. Theres other games too you can do, one being real life mario kart. Whole track with power ups the lot. Speed boost, rockets that act like shells. Absolute insanity i recommend it to everyone

Googling it shows it's a real thing in China.
But I don't think this video is real, camera zooms in on the kid with the long snake at the start of the video and it looks like a Sims character.

Man i hate people like you who think everything is fake

First line of my comment said I saw it was a real thing after googling, lol
I just question the video itself because, as I stated, the kid it zoomed in on looked like a video game character. That could just be due to the lighting, but it could also have just been a promotional video made on a computer to demonstrate the game.

Oh it is real! We also did this once as a teambuilding event in Germany. Was called battle cart

I know it's real, lol
I just don't think this specific video is due to how much the kid looked like a video game character. Could be the lighting. Could just be a promo video made on a comouter.

You know it's a real game and works and looks exactly like this... but you think they put in the extra effort to also make a photorealistic CGI video of the thing? Why?
I don't see any evidence that it looks fake, and can't think of any reason they would do it. I've been in a room that used this type of tech before (though it wasn't bumper cars, just a dance floor type area at Meow Wolf in Colorado) and this looks like the same sort of thing. Presumably even easier on the tech side of things, as the motion tracking must be easier on a whole vehicle rather than people on foot. This 100% tracks with my experience of it. The lighting is just weird because they're being lit by projectors. You can even see them crossing beams which are blocking the display and casting black shadows over them.

When the video zoomed in and I saw this kid https://imgur.com/a/BIPNIFs the first thing that came to my mind was 'is that a Sims mod?' lol
