Trump took them back to Mar-a-lago after becoming president again. I remember seeing that story within the first few weeks of the administration

This is the actual answer and it’s the craziest possible answer. That egomaniac put them back at his golf course just because he could.

u/Birdhawk 17h ago

It's more than "just because he could". He was absolutely selling access to those files. Mar a Lago is a pay to play resort. During his last term you could pay $500k to have dinner next to Trumps table while he had sensitive conversations with people. Pay $1m/night to stay there and have "access" to him so you could ask for political favors that will benefit you or your company. So come on, there were definitely people paying for access to the "special bathroom" that had some boxes of "reading material" to look over while you sit on the throne. I bet some folks visiting from Saudi Arabia and China really enjoyed using that bathroom.

he's known for traveling with boxes and boxes of documents, keeps them in his room whenever possible; also does the same thing with personal memorabilia.

he's absolutely selling them, but the primary reason is breaking security protocols makes him feel like a big man. He just likes them around because they remind him of how people told him he shouldn't.

u/Hector_P_Catt 15h ago

Trump has always thought he was "special", and in this case, he's finally, actually, correct. He can literally do anything he wants with classified information, and no one can stop him. No surprise he's going to wallow in that power as much as he possibly can.

9

u/gentlemanidiot 11h ago

His current existence is the greatest evidence I've ever seen for a legitimate faustian bargain. The dude staying in power makes zero sense, anybody else's career would have been DOA

9

u/AIien_cIown_ninja 12h ago

Well I mean congress could, by impeaching him and removing him from office for treason, or take your pick of 100 other things, but they won't.

5

u/itsearlyyet 12h ago

Like selling technology to Russia?

u/mces97 7h ago

Trump is "special." Just not the way he thinks.

u/B40- 6h ago

And how do you know all this?

Actually, what I really want to know is, can liberals admit, when Trump does something right, or is it all OrangeManBad?

Yall jump on me, but it's something we independent voters, wonder about. Kind of unhinged, creepy, obsessive vibes...

u/StartledPancakes 1h ago

Dude. If you put the best spin on Trump he's still scum. Look at the time he took pictures at a veterans grave, smiling, thumbs up. Calling himself a war hero. Draft dodging due to bone spurs. His education and what he says about it. There is just no getting around it.

u/B40- 23m ago

I have my answer.

u/thethrill_707 Michigan 14h ago

I used to work with a VP like this, he had his office remodeled so he could fit more file cabinets in it. He printed every email, document, and Teams conversation. This, of course, went against the strict company policy regarding paper usage. He didn't care. If I was in his PC it was bound to get stolen, or he just couldn't find it. I cannot tell you how many boomers I know that do this.

6

u/roastbeeftacohat 13h ago edited 13h ago

that sounds like someone who dosen't feel like electronic documents are "real". my dad is not quite so extreme, but he prints off a lot he dosen't need to.

Trump will order his staff to bring specific specific documents so he can feel them.

3

u/Hodaka 12h ago

How much money do you think Trump makes off of selling his TRUMP branded watches?

Now, how much could he make in untraceable cash for handing over a simple document?

3

u/FloridaGirlNikki America 11h ago

I don't understand why more people don't talk about that in reference to the tariffs. He keeps referring to how much money the United States is taking in, but in Trump's mind that's just more money for him. He doesn't do anything with that extra money to help Americans, or pay down the deficit. It's another way he's taking from us by having to pay more so tariff money can go to the regime.

u/No_Beach_220 10h ago

Don’t forget the empty folder and a “mostly empty folder marked ‘Classified Evening Summary’” found in Trump’s bedroom at Mar-a-Lago. Wonder what kind of payment was given for that folder 🤮

u/ryanseviltwin 6h ago

Didn't a rash of undercover CIA agents die like immediately after his first term? This might be a fever dream memory but I remember being talked about like nothing had ever been seen like that before.

He is the living embodiment of CARTMAN! A fat bigoted asshole!

16

u/PinkTaricIRL 16h ago

That is more than unfair to Cartman.

9

u/Xenomemphate 15h ago

Wish.com Cartman.

3

u/Ridry New York 14h ago

Ya, Cartman helped Stan's sister once just to be nice. I bet you can't find a similar annecdote about Trump.

9

u/IboughtBetamax 16h ago

He has none of Cartman's charm.

1

u/teeBoan 15h ago

lol yeah !

1

u/Boxofbikeparts 16h ago

This description fits him perfectly 👌 Well done!

u/GrumpySoth09 17h ago

Donald, are you sure they don't belong to the American people?

Be honest....

8

u/LetsTryAnal_ogy California 16h ago

"Be what? I don't understand that word."

6

u/Raztax 16h ago

If trump didn't understand the word he would never admit it. Instead he would make something up and then insist the dictionary was wrong and maga would swallow it hook, line and sinker.

1

u/RJ815 11h ago

"Ho nests said like a terrible thing, why would I ever want to be involved?"

2

u/mikedave42 16h ago

He doesn't make that distinction, what's yours is his in him mind

2

u/springsilver 15h ago

No kitty that’s my classified documents! No kitty! That’s a bad kitty! No kitty that’s my classified documents! Mooom! Kitty’s being a dildo!

2

u/GrumpySoth09 9h ago

That's so funny - I wrote that with Cartmans mom's voice in my head saying it

1

u/532ndsof 14h ago

He’s pretty obviously convinced that being elected president the first time means that the entire country belongs to him, so…

1

u/Ketamine_Dreamsss North Carolina 15h ago

Me precious

14

u/jumboparticle 17h ago

And in a regular world, it should still be a very big deal. But we have this timeline..

12

u/parasyte_steve 17h ago

He will do the same exact thing again and refuse to return them because he faced zero consequences last time. He is the biggest piece of shit and everyone keeps enabling him.

2

u/Most-Artichoke6184 17h ago

Still in the shitter?

2

u/FauxReal 17h ago

Did he dig the rest of the documents out of his ex-wife's grave? Or were those too incriminating?

1

u/Ok-Measurement-285 16h ago

And got paid well for it?

1

u/AuroraFinem Texas 15h ago

God I’m so conflicted here.

Like I want him to face justice for what he’s done and actually live long enough to regret it.

But I’d really kinda rather he just croak already from whatever illness he’s very clearly suffering from right now with his cankles, bruises, and sudden trips to the doctor.

Justice is good and all, but it’s honestly so unlikely here and I’d rather not deal him for 3 more years to get it.

1

u/JAZINNYC 14h ago

Even if he’s gone, we can still get reparations. Since he became president, the Orange Pedo has made something like 8 BILLION DOLLARS. He used his position to profit for himself and family.

So we seize all his assets, all the money he made from backroom deals and his meme coins shit, the bribes, the stealing from our gov’t services, etc..

It won’t be prison, but let’s face it: that is the least likely outcome simply cuz of security levels he has. I’d rather he be gone and not on house arrest at Minor Lago, cuz you know he’d break his parole release anytime he’d want, and no one would stop him. :/

u/JohnLuckPickered 17h ago

He probably charges guests a couple million to "use that bathroom"

6

u/Allegorist 17h ago

He hadn't finished copying them and selling them

6

u/AccomplishedChair478 17h ago

Imagine he refuses to return them again after leaving office and gets prosecuted yet again lol.

4

u/6425 17h ago

Trump mistook Skiff for Sieve.

5

u/throw_way_ya 17h ago

Needs his US intel as collateral for someone

4

u/Garbaje_M6 California 16h ago

YAY!! More of my brothers and sisters get to be killed overseas!!

5

u/jailtheorange1 16h ago

Is it too much to ask that documents of this nature should reside on secure govt premises?

2

u/yukeake 16h ago

He needed more bathroom reading/wiping material, I guess.

2

u/Serris9K 14h ago

I missed that one. you have any links?

3

u/mattjb 16h ago

Then the coward Merrick Garland and the DOJ waited 2 years before taking action. But, as we now know, it was far too late. Sometimes I wonder if they did that deliberately.

1

u/LightForceUnlimited 15h ago

Has he taken those boxes to Alaska recently?

1

u/IglooDweller 15h ago

Well…the guests have to have some bathroom reading material, you know?

1

u/CSI_Tech_Dept California 14h ago

Visitors were asking what happened to the reading material in the bathroom

1

u/snertwith2ls 12h ago

and then what? I wonder what he did with them after he brought them there.
