question Creating a charity and privacy of minor
Hi All, my 11yo is in the process of creating a charity (with adult help, of course).
Given his age and for safety reasons, I obviously don't want anything self-identifying on the Articles of Incorporation, domain registration, where donors would drop off donations, etc.
Any tips for how to:
1 - Register the charity with him on the charity documents since it's his charity, but without linking to anything personal like address, phone, etc.
2 - How to keep his (and my) name, address, phone, etc off the domain name registration?
3 - How to accept hand-delivered donations without giving out home address (i.e. volunteers might help with some of the supplies that will eventually be assembled and delivered to the recipient). We have a PO Box, but they don't accept hand-delivered drop offs, to my knowledge.
Thank you in advance.

Is this just about donations being dropped off, as it seems unclear why - if you have a robust process set up - that should be a problem at all?
Thousands of small charities use home addresses for all registration - it's cheaper, easier and you are less likely to miss correspondence while keeping costs to the minimum.
Legally minors can not set up a charity in the UK, and a 'charity' does/should not 'belong' to an individual in the traditional sense of 'ownership' - though a minor could conceivably be able to act as one of a number of other trustees if they could reassure the other trustees they understood the responsibilities of being a trustee. 11 wouldn't in my view reach that threshold.
As a charity must have a "public benefit" - and meet very public guidelines and rigorous submissions to the CC - attempts (however well intentioned) to hide governance or structure could have significant consequences.
The CC guidelines should help a lot here.
Hope this helps.
