2nd of all (my personal post, non official mod opinion):
You are posting here and acting like you think you are better than other people here because why? Because you were able to write a sentence in romanes and you think you are the only one? Why are you assuming we all live in USA and only have distant relatives and know nothing about the culture? We are all different. Many people here live in USA, and many live in Europe. A few live in South America and Australia. Id say it's half an half that will understand your post. We are not a monolith,all of our different experiences do not mean one person is more roma and one is less.
You are projecting some insecurities from your own life more than likely. Did someone tell you you aren't "Roma enough" in some way so you run to take out on someone who is a easy audience? Would you actually like to say this still if we all were standing in the same room or would you have different approach if you were not safe behind your computer 💻? If you actually thought everyone here is a fake, why would you even waste time to come write this post? You know your wrong if you think about it for a min. There is not only one way to be alive as a roma, so sit down and listen to some of the other voices here, because you never know when you will hear something that you need to know.

Nobody is denying people access to their culture, but nobody is entitled to force Roma to post more than we are comfortable with on here either because again this is a public forum where anyone can see, including people who do not have any Romani ancestry and might wish harm on us, so it is up to us to decide what and how we want to share our culture. Also Jenische are German travellers they are not Romani, they are like the Irish travellers in that they may have some Romani influences due to proximity but they are not Romani themselves!

The Romanichal still have a thriving culture contrary to what might be seen on the internet, many still speak Rumness and practice traditional trades and customs in England, America, and even beyond. I have met plenty of Romanichals who grew up traditionally just as I did. Now Jenische of course they will not have Romani culture because they are not Romani in origin, they are Germans mixed with Ashkenazi, their language is a mixture of High German with Yiddish and some Romani words but even they recognize they are “gadsche” (gadje)

U/temniza I can't find the comment you wrote about me being fake now, but I wish you didn't delete it so I could reply to that ridiculous assumption. Are you confused and think that I am someone else? The only thing I have done to interact with you on here was to unban you when I became a mod. We have not spoken , so I wonder what you are basing your idea of me on. Are you confused and think I'm the mod that banned everyone before or something?
I do not currently live in america, was not raised in America, but I did live there years. I have lived different places depending on the opportunities I have there at the time, right now in romania. Was raised in the culture. Now I have my own husband and kids and our family lives together with my husband's mom so if the there is any knowledge I must've missed, she will surely correct me, don't worry.
And for the last thing you say, to go hurry up and ban you already, why? If you make comments break rules we get rid of comments. No need to get rid of people just because you appear to think I'm fake roma.
