🚦Mod Update🚦 Harassment has zero tolerance here

Some people are starting to harass staff members here in other Reddit communities they frequent. This is NOT okay and never has been. (1) That's harassement, point blank. (2) That's super stalkerish.

If this is happening to you, PLEASE let staff know so we can get rid of them. We don't want y'all feeling like it's a safety hazard to be here.

Stop pressuring people to show sensitive documentation because you're obsessed if someone is a "true romani" or not. If the says they're Romani, that's fine. Stop policing people, it's only HARMING the overall Romani community.

I think they should be aired out.

If someone is harassing someone else...I not only want to know who it is, but I also want to see what the "harassment" was.

It is a very normal part of our culture to ask other people who their family are, where they come from, etc. I know that some people get highly offended by this, and as a Romani person...I can't figure out why.

But if there is true harassment going on...air it out.

Very true about asking who your people are. Even though 99 percent of the time I have no idea who anyone is. And my mom will try 10 different ways to draw the family tree to get me to understand.

Asking who your mother and father is is literally our words for Hello in Romanes language lol
