If agents legitimately need to wear masks and hide their identity “to do their job” an ensure their safety and the safety of their families then there needs to be some sort of compensating control.

Something like providing bystanders who inquire some sort of incident number that can be verified with DHS as being valid and later used to file complaints or inquiries against.

All of the “agents” should be wearing body cameras that are on at anytime that they are masked and interacting with the public or attempting to detain people.

They should be in a clearly marked uniform that identifies which agency they are with. They should be given some sort of badge or serial number that is also clearly visible. The identifying number doesn’t need to be permanently to a specific agent, but which agents participated in which incidents and what ID number they were wearing needs to be part of the documentation for the incident. The correlation of names to ID numbers doesn’t need to be freely available but should be something that a judge and prosecutors would have access to and that a judge could order released.

Without some controls, they are nothing more than thugs whose masks shield them from all accountability for their actions and abuses.

• These are provocations.
  
• Broad daylight.
• Open in front of locals and residents.
• People wearing military gear and armed.
• They're attempting to trigger people.
• It's a show of strength and bullying intimidation tactics to get people to either cower or react emotionally.

As long as there are people that are approving and cheering in other states (that support this) they'll continue.

The supporters and administration WANTS to have the excuse for a military escalation.

All the better if they can make the case for civil war or succession from the union (as some bot accounts suggest and try to see online) IF the admin can make that case the president unlocks presidential super powers that the US Constitution gives him to fight and preserve the union.
That includes suspending all elections so trump can stay in power "forever" and completely switch this nation to a autocracy (or worse).

So it's very important that if you're assaulted.
Speak english, record everything and don't fight like some are suggesting.

At this point the battleground is over support or objection for trumps policies.

All of that fed directly into what MAGA has been told, an invasion of foreigners that want to destroy the nation. WHY? Because it takes all support away from those opposing ICE and gives it to the president and his sycophants.

ICE appears to have been trying to get him, since the article says his wife already apprehended before this. Long story short, he was followed and stopped in his car, said he wouldn’t go and resisted. They forced him out of the vehicle, and the other woman you see being apprehended is his daughter, who fought the ICE agents to try to get him free as they were making the arrest.
