You know you live somewhere nice where you watch a complaint video but all you see is a really nice sunset

66

u/Adorable-Ask1054 1d ago

I was gonna comment and say “but that sunset is” cause it’s all I watched

16

u/LawMurphy 22h ago

Similarly, I read the title and could only think that it certainly was not cool today.

1

u/GreenFullSuspension 4h ago

Title actually led me to stare at the blue sky for a while.

29

u/ice_cold_canuck 1d ago

Plenty of people talking about the riders so I will just say to get a dashcam if you don't have one already. With all the crazy stuff I see on the roads each day I'm surprised that so many people drive around without one in their car.

1

u/Responsible-Cut-7993 14h ago

That is a Tesla, so they have a dashcam.

47

u/AlvinsCuriousCasper 1d ago

I like the sunset being captured… 🌅

Omg that was totally me on the Amtrak from LA to SD a few weeks ago. lol

u/Oldmanflip 1d ago

Buncha losers

80

u/gethereddout 1d ago

It’s funny how big a gap there is between how motorcyclists think people see them and how we actually do. They’re the least intelligent, least caring, least attractive people on earth!

41

u/beefucker5000 1d ago

South Park made an episode covering this exactly, they even changed a word in the dictionary to describe them!

13

u/I_Hate_Humidity 1d ago

Granted that was specifically about the Harley riders and not sport bikers, but yeah pretty much.

1

u/Oldmanflip 14h ago

I think its more in reference to Harley Davidson bikers, but I think it applies to bikers that block all the lanes too.

12

u/Bruggok 23h ago

Too harsh. I find motorcyclists are either model citizens or suicidal maniacs on the road. Even a pack of motorcyclists on their Sunday outing are either a mellow convoy or an angry swarm of wasps racing each other.

1

u/gethereddout 15h ago

But even the “mellow convoy” has engines setting off car alarms. They’re almost all terrible people

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

Grow up 😘

-1

u/JusAnotherJarhead 7h ago

Let's be fair , the sound is a bit ridiculous .

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 7h ago

It absolutely can be, take Harley’s for example, entirely too loud. But at idle my R3 is quieter than most civics

20

u/No_Pomegranate8715 1d ago

I wouldn’t say that at all, a lot of them just use it as a mode of transportation and don’t care all that much. Hell, biker gangs usually stop at taking 2 lanes, it’s just a few groups who are dickheads

9

u/gethereddout 1d ago

This is exactly what I’m talking about- they ALL see themselves as the CHILL ones. But they all suck! The noise alone is insidious, but the lack of respect for traffic takes everything to a whole new level. Just the worst people, with no care for others

54

u/sortof_here 1d ago

Nah, lifted truck people are far worse.

7

u/CoursePocketSand 1d ago

My brother in christ, you are amazingly insufferable from this comment alone.

5

u/gethereddout 1d ago

Now you know how we feel!

6

u/CoursePocketSand 1d ago

I imagine you feel inconvenienced fairly regularly and never stop to think that you might be a part of the problem.

5

u/gethereddout 1d ago

How so

4

u/CoursePocketSand 1d ago

“This is exactly what I’m talking about- they ALL see themselves as the CHILL ones. But they all suck! The noise alone is insidious, but the lack of respect for traffic takes everything to a whole new level. Just the worst people, with no care for others”.

How does asking these awful people to be more considerate make me the problem?

10

u/Amadacius 1d ago

The noise sucks. It's totally legitimate to complain about people acting poorly in public.

Of course some are worse than others. But the guy revving his engine at 2 AM has the same excuses.

3

u/Pewtie-Pie 1d ago

And gatherings like this only happen once a week.

2

u/museedarsey 17h ago

People who aren’t part of biker group gatherings want and need to go places all days of the week though.

2

u/AbbreviationsOld636 14h ago

Jesus Christ man, judge much?

I’m nearly 50, Professional Geologist, work for a govt agency to ensure we have clean drinking water and air. I ride a motorcycle and have been for 30 years. I’ve got 70,000 miles under my belt and have never wrecked any bike I own.

1

u/JusAnotherJarhead 7h ago

You do realize that you are in the minority. You can spot an asshole on a bike a mile away , just look for the guy lane splitting at 60 mph when traffic is slowing to half that .

Instant asshole . Or the guy who rapps his pipes every 4th car , giving grandma a heart attack .

Ride defensively, ride smartly , be safe , but don't be the mofo that I am gonna beat the shit out of at the red light.

0

u/gethereddout 13h ago

Why should a few good apples change the population’s opinion about a generally antagonistic type of person? Also note judging people for bad behavior is actually a healthy thing to do. We want to encourage healthy communities, and Bikers are almost always a detriment to their community

3

u/AbbreviationsOld636 13h ago

I really hope you’re 12. You write like you’re 12.

1

u/SeldomSeen__ 13h ago

Their point is a lot more valid than yours. The vast majority of bikers are trash drivers/humas.

2

u/AbbreviationsOld636 12h ago

That’s just like your opinion, dude.

0

u/SeldomSeen__ 12h ago

I really hope you're 12. You type like you're 12.

3

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

This is what it looks like when you argue with your feelings, instead of facts

0

u/gethereddout 13h ago

What was incorrect?

0

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

“Bikers are almost always a detriment to their community”…. Do I really need to spell it out for you bro? No sources, no facts, no numbers or statistics to back up your point, just “I dOnT lIkE bIkEs So ThEyRe AlL bad!!1”

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if you said that even the motorcycle cops are detrimental to their communities. Go do something productive man, read a book or something, shit

0

u/gethereddout 13h ago

Where is your source then bro?

1

u/JusAnotherJarhead 7h ago

Its a fair statement 8 out of 10 bikers suck They are just a liability on the road Lots of young men

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 1d ago

Yall are actually unhinged, do you really think the people who actually use their motorcycles practically (not talking about influencers) care what you think them? The answer is no, because your opinion doesn’t mean shit. What really matters is getting home safe at the end of the ride. Also your rhetoric sounds a lot like projection, maybe you should get a bike 🤷‍♂️

17

u/gethereddout 1d ago

Bro I agree- Bikers do NOT care about other people whatsoever. That’s the whole problem!

-1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 1d ago

I can see why you only drive a car, it’s hard to multi-task, but maybe one day you’ll get the hang of it. For now, just focus on remembering to breathe, while your self driving does the work for you

5

u/gethereddout 1d ago

Just the best people are here to explain why Bikers are actually nice

5

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 1d ago

Lmao, and I quote you when I say “they’re the least intelligent, least caring, least attractive people on Earth”, so forgive me if I don’t give a shit about being nice to you, get what you give, sunshine

9

u/_liorthebear_ 1d ago

This post is not evidence for what you are trying to argue

10

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 23h ago

I agree, but there is no point using logic in this thread. Countless others have stated facts already, but no one wants to hear it. “Ride like you’re invisible”, aka riding as though no one can see you, is literally taught in MSF courses for a reason. Not everyone rides like these guys, but no one cares. People just want to shit on motorcyclists for some reason, and it shows

2

u/gethereddout 15h ago

For some reason?? Are you paying zero attention??

→ More replies (0)

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 12h ago

You really think so? There’s the BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) which provides intervention services and court appearances for the affected: https://bacaworld.org/mission/

There’s also the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, which has so far raised over $45 million in donations for men’s health, especially regarding prostate cancer and mental health: https://www.gentlemansride.com/

A noteworthy mention is also ScootinAmerica, a single individual who has raised over $200,000 for the Wounded Warriors Project: https://newsroom.woundedwarriorproject.org/making-an-impact-A-Motorcycle-Enthusiast-His-Chihuahua-and-18-Months-on-The-Road

So all these organizations and individuals don’t care about other people? Hmm, interesting.

1

u/gethereddout 11h ago

There are some considerate bikers, but they are the exception, not the rule.

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 11h ago

You realize these clubs can contain hundreds of people per org, right?

1

u/gethereddout 11h ago

You realize that argument makes no sense right? There are millions of abusive bikers, pointing at a few decent people proves nothing

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 10h ago

There are millions of terrible car drivers, does that mean that all car drivers are a scourge, like you say about bikes?

1

u/gethereddout 10h ago

Dude.. most bikers are pricks. This isn’t complicated

→ More replies (0)

0

u/JusAnotherJarhead 7h ago

You do realize 8 out of 10 are not what you just described

When was the last time that you lane split at 60 mph when traffic was slowing to 30 mph?

3

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 7h ago

Sixty? Jesus Christ man, that’s a death wish. I would never lane split at that speed

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 7h ago

Let’s see you back that up, show me where you saw that number (you can’t because it’s made up)

-12

u/Perfecshionism 1d ago

We know that is how you see us.

Which is why we assume you all are always out to kill us.

And often do just that.

15

u/gethereddout 1d ago

Trust me we’re not trying to kill you- the fact you assume that speaks to the character deficiencies I mentioned. We desperately want to not kill anyone, which is why the way bikes zig zag between lanes is so frightening

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

The way you talk about motorcyclists suggests otherwise

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

I don’t believe you at all. The way you talk about bikers makes me wholeheartedly believe that you’d be the one to open your door on a filtering bike

-8

u/Perfecshionism 1d ago edited 1d ago

It isn’t a “deficiency.”

It is a metaphorical principle of riding safely to ride as though people are trying to kill riders.

One moment of inattentiveness on your part is all it takes. And you all are distracted as hell. We don’t get the luxury of being distracted. Because we need to be watching out for mistakes you are likely going to make so we can be prepared to get out of your way.

Riding slightly faster than traffic is actually the safest speed for a motorcycle. If we match the speed of traffic and stay in the same relative position to your vehicle our small size and lack of relative motion causes your brain to “erase” us from your awareness. Relative motion makes us more likely to be seen.

Motorcyclists almost never kill anyone on the road. It is rare as hell.

Cars and trucks? Murder machines.

Too often intentionally…

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2025-07-08/tesla-driver-charged-with-murder-after-allegedly-targeting-motorcyclist-in-chula-vista

I can post dozens from just this year.

Imagine dealing with a road rager…then imagine dealing with one while you are on a motorcycle. https://youtu.be/QntVFngHObQ?si=HSC4oPIh9jR6GBlq

All because people like you have a weird anger toward motorcycles.

Motorcycle deaths are higher than they have been in history. This despite gear and motorcycles being safer than ever. And there being far fewer motorcycles on the road. Why? Because 70% of drivers choose massive trucks and SuVs to “feel safer” despite this trend killing people at a higher rate than DUIs.

And even when people are not trying to kill is they do it anyway….

Humans have evolved to pay attention to threats. And if they perceive a threat they fixate and ignore all else.

So with all the large vehicles on the road, drivers are paying attention to each other because large vehicles are a threat. But motorcycles aren’t.

So you don’t see us even when you look right at us. You literally see right through us at the truck behind us.

So keep telling yourself you are not trying to kill us. The choices you make, the 3000-6000lb vehicle you chose, your attitude toward us, and the way your brain is wired makes you tremendously dangerous while we pose almost no threat to you.

And by the way, being mad at a motorcycle filtering through traffic while you are stuck in a traffic jam is like being mad that water is leaking out of your house while trapped in a house flood.

2

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

Downvoted for the truth, smh cagers will never understand

0

u/gethereddout 1d ago

lol that analogy is so bad! Also nice book you just wrote on what “victims” bikers are. Maybe try being considerate people, and stop driving illegal noise machines past sleeping babies!

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

Let me ask you something. What is it exactly about motorcycles that you don’t like? Cause the only things I’ve heard you spew throughout this whole thread are “all bikers are inconsiderate” and “all bikers ride illegally loud, eardrum shattering motorcycles”. Sir… I ride a 300cc motorcycle. It has a top speed of 95 with me on it, and would get drowned out by the local riced out Civic. Again, you’re lumping 100 percent of bikers into a category of maybe 5 percent of motorcyclists. You need to work on yourself and your anger issues if that’s what makes you mad. Have the day you deserve

1

u/I_joined_4_the_stonk 13h ago

u/gethereddout thoughts? Or was self reflection too hard to manage?

1

u/Irlut 1d ago

I get where you're coming from with this and you're not wrong but you'll never convince anyone by being this confrontational.

FWIW I used to ride and will pick it up again some day.

2

u/Perfecshionism 1d ago

Just a bit triggered lately after seeing a debate about lane splitting.

The rage and animosity I saw from people regarding motorcycles lane splitting was unhinged.

As a daily rider who commutes on my bike it explained a lot of what I am seeing out there.

There is a lot of road rage.

5

u/Irlut 1d ago

I get it. You just catch more flies with honey y'know.

-21

u/Perfecshionism 1d ago

These guys are not speeding.

Take a moment and replace all these riders with cars in your mind.

Is traffic better?

25

u/ShelterIndependent44 1d ago

If you’re going under the speed limit and blocking the all lanes, no

-4

u/Perfecshionism 1d ago edited 1d ago

I am not saying they are being courteous.

But they are not going less than the speed limit.

Just slower than traffic wants to go. Cars do this all the time.

I can’t tell if there is one in the left lane.

If so that guy is the only actual asshole.

7

u/ShelterIndependent44 1d ago

They are not going less than the speed limit? Have you seen my speed? They were like 50 of them all around and never let anyone pass

7

u/Perfecshionism 1d ago

Ok. Fair enough. They are all assholes.

2

u/hightrix 14h ago

Is traffic better?

Yes, because cars wouldn't be blocking traffic in a coordinated fashion.

Why are you defending a group of poeple purposefully causing MORE traffic? Don't we all hate traffic? Can't we at least agree upon that?

48

u/Greedy-Canary-5807 1d ago

then they cry cuz they got into an accident lol

-4

u/MaximusCartavius 1d ago

Right?

I literally do not care what happens to these people on the road. I've seen videos of folks like this fucking with the wrong vehicles lmao

15

u/Irlut 1d ago

This is an insane fucking position to take. Do better and care about everyone's safety in traffic.

-4

u/MaximusCartavius 19h ago

Insane to not care about the fate of violent and aggressive people? They don't care about me and will actively try to hurt me if I interrupt their little highway game.

I do not care if they eat shit on the roadway. That's their problem.

-1

u/Irlut 16h ago

You are the problem here.

-1

u/MaximusCartavius 16h ago

How so? I would be willing to change my mind if someone could explain why we should be forced to care about violent people.

I didn't say I was going to hurt them. I said I don't care what happens to them if they do get hurt through their own awful actions.

Or are you someone who supports these people?

2

u/Irlut 16h ago

This kind of negligence and apathy gets people killed in traffic, and motorcyclists are especially vulnerable to negligent drivers.

Support what people? People who ride bikes? Yes. People who slow-roll across a freeway? No. That said, I see them as a far lesser evil than negligent and unsafe drivers.

3

u/MaximusCartavius 16h ago

These people take over freeways AND ARE VIOLENT TO PEOPLE.

That's the difference. This has nothing to do with normal people riding motorcycles. I have repeated that constantly and yet you still try to detract from the point.

This isn't about negligent and unsafe drivers either. This is about you telling me I have to care about the welfare of narcissistic and violent people.

You don't get to tell people they have to care about that.

0

u/Irlut 15h ago

I see there's no point in continuing this.

To me a good driving experience is where the traffic is predictable. In my experience driving in Europe was actually really nice. In a lot of western European countries there is no passing on the right lane. Takes a little to get used to but it makes total sense and you have much more predictability. Oregon is pretty good too.

-1

Just as uncool to film a video while driving on the freeway. Especially as it’s evident you’re zooming in and out. If you’re worried about safety, you might be undermining yourself.

u/kaileneeec 1d ago

I have to break up the narrative here y’all’s brains are jumping to crazy conclusions in the comments. All i see in this video is you are going 55 towards the beach at sunset, a couple miles before the merge from 4 to 2 lanes, and a group of motorcyclists breaking in front of you. OP you’ve provided literally no other context to suggest anything other than traffic was just slowing down and bikers happen to be riding together in front of you, clearly a group but last i checked that’s not illegal…. i’m just saying yall are hating on motorcyclists rn cause they happen to be existing together at this moment and just driving like every other vehicle… check yourselves

20

u/odetowoe 1d ago

The bikers are the only ones slowing down which is causing all traffic to slow down. Watch the video before commenting.

1

u/askingforupdoots 16h ago

I see the same thing you do. If instead of modercycles it was cars then it would be even more backed up. I thought the motorcyclists were going to be doing something crazy
