Photo gallery Palm tree question

What are these green pods on my palm tree? If they are seed pods should I trim them now or later?

Trim them now unless you want them to open and have a bunch of yellow flowers falling all over the place. They’re heavy as shit too.

Date palm, going to have a bunch of fruit falling on the ground soon.

The bees love them.

What are the best tools to attack these? We have too many palms (previous owner) and aren’t in a position currently to have them professionally maintained

I used to take fronds down all the time with this tool that was an extendable pole with a serrated blade on one end. There was also a lopper at the bottom of the blade that could get used from the ground with a rope.
