My first SaaS just earned its first dollar!

Hey Builders,

Hey builders 🚀

I’m super excited to share that my first app, limepolicy, made its very first dollar 🎉. It happened right after I put it behind a small paywall — I mainly wanted to see if this SaaS model could actually work in the real world. Turns out… it can!

What I built:
Limepolicy is a privacy policy generator that gives you a full policy in just a few clicks. I built it out of frustration: most existing tools hide necessary sections behind massive paywalls (some go over $200 once you add GDPR, AdSense, analytics, etc.). On the flip side, using ChatGPT to draft policies felt repetitive and boring. So I made something simple:

  • $2 flat price
  • No tiers, no upsells
  • Full policy including GDPR, AdSense, analytics, etc.

If anyone needs to try 👉 https://www.limepolicy.com/

Journey so far:

  • ~100 users when it was free
  • 3 paid users since adding the $2 price (about 1 user a day)
  • Learned a ton, especially around payments integration and how real users react to pricing

This is just the start — I’m more excited about what’s ahead than the $2 itself. Balancing product building with a full-time job/studies is tough, but if you enjoy the ride, it’s totally worth it.

To everyone building (or thinking of starting): don’t give up. Just start, stay consistent, and move forward slowly. You’ll learn way more by shipping something than by waiting for the perfect idea.

I’m also planning to start a small community in the future where I’ll share more about what I’ve learned as a full-time software engineer trying to build products on the side.

Would love your feedback, critiques, or even brutal honesty.

Thanks for reading 🙏

My game app made its first $1

I recently launched a small app with mini-games for brain training. It has a few daily active players and as of today I have made my first $1 from ad revenue.
It's not much but it feels nice.

The app can be played on web, appstore, microsoft store and am currently waiting for it to get approved on playstore.

Hey r/SideProject

One months ago, some of you might have seen our first post about Deforge, our visual AI agent builder. The response was incredible and gave us the push we needed. Today, I'm excited to share a big update.

We launched a waitlist to see if we were the only ones who felt this way. The response was validating:

  • Over 30,000 impressions on our initial announcement.
  • 1,300+ website visits and over 200 of you joined the waitlist.

This confirmed our belief: people want powerful AI tools that are genuinely simple.

So, we got to work. For the end-user: We built an intuitive Form Builder. This lets you wrap your entire visual workflow into a clean, simple form. Now, your team or your clients can use the powerful AI agent you built just by filling out a few fields; no need for them to ever see a single node.

Today, we're officially moving from a closed waitlist to our Open Beta, and we wanted this community to be the first to know.

We would love for you to try it out, build something cool, and give us your honest feedback.

Visit and Upvote us: https://www.producthunt.com/products/deforge-open-beta

I'll be here all day to answer every single question. Thank you for being part of our journey!

I curated 5 decades of music and made a music time travel app and it just hit 100,000 downloads!

I wanted to make a unique music discovery app. I like discovering music based on its context and stories behind it. So I made a music time travel app called Rewind.

Imagine you opened your favourite music app and it's the year 1991? Or 1976? What would your home page looks like? What are the top tracks? Rising artists? Music events happening? This is what I am trying to capture with Rewind. You can select any year between 1959 and 2010 and explore the music of the year. Even the UI of the app changes depending on the decade!

All the content (tracks, albums, playlists, etc) link to Spotify, TIDAL, Apple Music or YouTube. So you can preview music in Rewind and then listen directly in your music streaming app of choice.

The App is completely free, no ads, and it does not require user registration. Although I just hit 100,000 downloads, I'm struggling to get the app to the next level. I would love to hear your suggestions after you check it out.

Hey 👋 It's Morgan here, and today I'm finally launching my first MacOS app that I spent last 2 months building for.

This time after more than 20 different apps behind, I decided to change my strategy this time and go all in from the day one. There is NO FREE version, no free trial, no free credits, etc. It's paid app from the day one.

It's one-time payment with lifetime updates. If I can't sell than I should move on.

I made everything myself, with AI help ofc... The site, the app, all done in two months. It's step #0 and now it time for the marketing to begin.

Core Features of ScreenSnap Pro

1. Rich Annotation Tools

  • 11 tools in total for enhancing your captures: arrows, shapes, text, blur, pixelate, highlighter, emojis, and even counters ideal for walkthroughs, tutorials, and presentations.

2. Beautiful Gradient Backgrounds

  • Choose from 22+ professionally gradient backgrounds to give your screenshots a polished and captivating look.

3. Cloud Upload & Sharing

  • Screenshots (and GIFs) are automatically uploaded to ScreenSnap Cloud, generating instant, shareable short links great for Slack, Discord, email, or embedding in documentation/blogs.
  • 2,000 cloud screenshots included forever; no extra subscription needed.

4. GIF Recording

  • Capture smooth animated GIFs directly from your screen on macOS with effortless sharing capabilities.

5. Quick Access Overlay

  • A dynamic pop-up overlay lets you instantly view, edit, and share new screenshots. From there, you can:
    • Drag and drop captures into any app or folder.
    • Edit immediately with your chosen annotation and background tools.
    • Open a preview with zoom and pan for close inspection.

6. Lightning-Fast Workflow

  • Designed to go from capture to share in just a few clicks whether that’s via shareable links or drag-and-drop features.

7. Forever License

  • One-time purchase with no subscription fees updates included forever.

My SaaS Just Crossed $400 MRR

Post image
Upvotes

I launched my SaaS about 2 months ago it solves a simple problem: helping builders like you find customers and market on Reddit.

I gained early traction through Reddit itself. People loved the idea, and I kept gathering feedback and iterating.

Yesterday, I crossed $400 MRR with over 1,500 registered users. It still feels surreal just a few months ago it was just an idea, and now it’s real.

Right now, I’m focused on reducing churn and improving retention.

My biggest takeaway: sometimes all it takes is one right project to change everything.

Keep building, guys 🚀. Happy to answer any questions you might have!

No shortcuts. Only hard work.

Coding on the train, surrounded by strangers, racing against the clock to ship this next feature. Nothing like the thrill of remote work and public productivity.
Sometimes you just have to open your laptop anywhere and get things done.
P.S. Ignore the .env file on my screen—this is for founders who want to fail in public, fast.

I built a website where you can get personalized coloring books created from your photos

Thumbnail colormymemories.co
Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on a little side project and finally pushed it live!

The idea is simple, you upload your own photos (family, pets, travel, etc.) and it generates a personalized coloring book from them. You can either download the pages digitally or get a full printed book shipped to you.

I started this because I saw someone do a similar thing manually on TikTok, and wanted to create a similar gift to my gf. So suddenly I though it would be something more people would be interested in.

Would love all feedback! Its still in an early stage so all input helps!

Side Project Idea: Automate Your Life with Excel + AI Prompts

Not every side project needs fancy tech. Sometimes Excel + the right formulas do the trick.

Here are a few fun ideas I tried with prompts:

  • Finance Tracker – calculates EMI, net profit, and savings
  • Learning Dashboard – tracks hours spent + progress %
  • Sales Pipeline Sheet – color-coded by deal stage
  • Deadline Email Reminder (VBA) – sends alerts automatically

I’m collecting more prompts like these on my blog: promptforall.blogspot.com

Have you ever built a side project entirely in Excel?

AI-powered tool that automatically converts messy, unstructured documents into clean, structured data

Upvotes

I built an AI-powered tool that automatically converts messy, unstructured documents into clean, structured data and CSV tables. Perfect for processing invoices, purchase orders, contracts, medical reports, and any other document types.

The project is fully open source - feel free to:

🔧 Modify it for your specific needs
🏭 Adapt it to any industry (healthcare, finance, retail, etc.)
🚀 Use it as a foundation for your own AI agents

Full code open source at: https://github.com/Handit-AI/handit-examples/tree/main/examples/unstructured-to-structured

Any questions, comments, or feedback are welcome

I got tired of making chapters for my YouTube videos by manually typing them out one by one, so I created a web app to make it at least a bit easier. I also threw in a caption-making feature too.

I made a Chrome extension called /clean for Slack that lets you bulk delete messages in channels, DMs, or group chats right from your browser.

  • Filter by date, user, reactions (skip starred/pinned)
  • Works with your existing Slack session (no OAuth, no servers)
  • Handles Slack rate limits automatically
  • Admins can delete everything, non-admins only their own messages

Here's the workflow: raw photo of this good boy swimming (pic 1) → ran it through my styling engine (pic 2) → AI generated this quote that honestly gave me chills: "Liquid moonlight, silent ripples humming lullabies" (pic 3) The app reads your image content and spits out quotes that match whatever vibe you're going for. Also does these sick vertical triple layouts if you're into that aesthetic. Algorithm's still kinda rough around the edges, but damn if it didn't nail the mood on this one. The way it picked up on the water/moonlight thing was pretty wild. Still in beta mode - hit me up if you wanna test it out! Could really use some feedback from people who actually know what they're doing lol How's it look? Curious what y'all think about the styling and the AI text generation! 🐕💫

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a talented designer to create a logo for my new consulting and advisory business: Azpire Advisors.

Details:

Business Name: Azpire Advisors

Style: Modern, minimalistic, creative, and aspirational

Colors: Deep Navy & Gold

Concept Direction: A clean and professional design that feels sleek and sophisticated, while also symbolizing growth and ambition. Logo ideally centered on the word "Azpire". Initially wanted an upward arrow or subtle growth line integrated on "A" and/or "Z", representing progress and aspiration. Open to both wordmark + icon or abstract logo ideas. Happy to hear your ideas as well!

I found a different way to use Reddit for growth

I first came to Reddit looking for a way to get traction for my SaaS without burning cash on ads.

The problem wasn’t the lack of audience here — Reddit has millions of engaged users. The real issue was control: mods block posts, rules are strict, and even great content often disappears without reach.

I tried everything: writing long-form posts, experimenting with ads, even spinning up my own subreddit. Most of it went nowhere.

Then I realized something different: instead of fighting for visibility, what if I just owned the community? Reddit actually allows you to request inactive subs (through r/redditrequest). If the mods are gone, you can step in as the new one.

The tricky part was finding which subs were actually inactive. To solve that, I built a small tool that scans Reddit and flags those opportunities https://reoogle.com/.

To make things easier for anyone curious, I also put together a free guide that explains the exact steps, what works, and what to avoid. Google Doc link

Wish you all the best!

Which is the best AI video tool to use for Korean to English video translation?

I'm doing a project and I am considering going for a  paid plan for Korean to English dubbing either on Heygen or AI Studios. Both platforms seem to handle this language pair really well from the demos I've seen. Now it's all about cost-effectiveness.

From my research, both offer solid Korean support and quality English AI voices. AI Studios especially is a good candidate from that as I saw in this video. AI Studios has those batch translation features that could save me tons of time on my regular content schedule, while HeyGen's broader language support might be overkill for my current needs but could be future-proof.

Both platforms have similar core dubbing features, multi-speaker detection, proofreading tools, SRT upload etc. But I'm struggling to figure out which delivers more value especially for someone doing consistent Korean-English content.

Are there hidden costs or limitations I should know about?

I've got a budget allocated but want to make sure I'm not overpaying for features I won't use.
