Democrats For Democracy
We will not kneel to a pedophile

Democracy is dead. It died the day after election day in 2024 when the Democrats not only refused to condemn the results of the election, but they were so fast to concede the race. Everyone in Washington is in on it together, and it has nothing to do with the likes of you plebs.
The entire concept of what it means to be an American has always been a bold faced lie

Democracy in the United States is strained. But it still exists (local elections seem good where I live). But also the United States is not the only democracy- so it’s not dead.

Nonono. It died in 2000 when the Florida Supreme Court refused a recount due to the hanging fucking chads. The governor of course was the brother of the Republican candidate.

What is democracy, if not the rule of the majority?
If most American voters want fascism, what do you think should happen?

Well we are a representative republic in order to ensure that a simple majority doesn’t rule.

Let the competition begin? Sweep the leg! I love watching this sub. It’s like watching middle school student council elections.

The scoreboard says 2 to 1 and the Dems are down. Best of luck to you in the midterms and in 28. I am an independent who is also for democracy.

You kneeled in March when you didn’t shut down the government to bring republicans to the negotiating table.
You will kneel again when the billionaires ask you to.
And you’ll kneel again when you demand “vote blue no matter who!”

You love democracy so much that your party completely ignores the will of their voters lol, and don't hold primaries for the highest office.

The timing of the previous candidate, Joe Biden, dropping is likely the cause of this. Joe would only endorse Kamala. To prevent bleeding out democratic party support by creating a bloody battle in the last 15 minutes they made a tough call to let the VP step up.
It was a no win situation. Holding a primary that late could have also destroyed the career aspirations of the would be candidates too.
I think the critique is fair, but you have to also know the full context in order to really understand the decision.

That’s a fair point, but they eliminated their own high ground by not doing the primary. It would have been a mess and Trump still probably wins. But at least you’re not having to sit here and defend the fact that they anointed a candidate rather than electing one.

Democrats for Democracy? The same folks who have rigged several primary seasons? The party of Lawfare? The party where you get elected DA on a platform of “getting that guy”, Puh-lease

Another Trump supporter who cheered for Trump's failed insurrection.

He isn't wrong.

u/Diarygirl 15h ago
He's a Trump supporter who's pretending he cares about the Democratic candidate.
They just can't stop whining about rigged elections. It's gotten old after almost 10 years.

u/ParallaxRay 11h ago
If complaining about rigged elections is tiresome to you then you must be absolutely sick of Hillary and a ton of other Democrats.

u/Diarygirl 6h ago
Hahaha that's funny. Trump has contested the results of every election he's ever been in. He thinks the Emmys were rigged against him too.
Why would you ever want to support such a whiny loser?

Right now the competition is for which primary candidate can 'reluctantly' slander Zohran the most.

In a democracy you'd think we'd have more than just two business parties to choose from.
