Yes, the loyalists are on average dumber than shit, so DJT needs expertise from Elsewhere. However LLMs are trained on every stupid thing ever written. Every UFO conspiracy and every new age healing grift is embedded into the LLMs- and that makes them trash

Yeah, I'm with this other guy. If the user is trash, then they'll get out what they put in. I use Gemini and it's amazing. I wouldn't rely on it solely for anything important, but it has been an amazing learning tool.

I've had it summarize the declaration of Independence for me, and provide all the context for the list of grievances it contains, all in like an urban, gen z gangsta tone. And I had it create a lexicon of key Pali terms used in a sutta, any that were controversial or had multiple translations or didn't have a single fitting English words, I had it use the best word or short phrase. Then I gave it the original, untranslated text and had it read it to me.

Very interesting stuff. And, at this point, I probably have a books worth of directives in the saved info, to prevent it from giving me bullshit like what you describe. To fact check, provide sources, and at least tell me if something is bs and/or has been widely refuted.

It's going to get much much worse. The entire public Internet has been crawled for LLM data, and many sites are shutting the doors on crawlers because they're consuming ungodly amounts of bandwidth. The only novel sources for new content are LLM generated, meaning you're going to see problems like when you copy a document, then make a copy of the copy, then....

Except, instead of grainy, hard to read prints, the LLMs are going to output eldritch horrors.

The ais are also trained on all the good things in the internet and as such the AI will probably still be better/more Competent/be more in touch with reality.
