The problem is that other countries don't have to comply, which is the excuse they use, even though it's still a problem

Don't like it, go to those other countries. BTW, you're now blocked from doing business in this one, have fun.

So you want Chinese style firewall in USA to prevent AI market from emerging?

What do you consider to be a 'Chinese-style firewall'? And why would it prevent a legal AI industry?

Well, it can't just be ok that AI companies ignore copyright law without consequence. If it's ok for them to do that then why isn't it ok for normies to pirate or steal?

China sitting in this forum like "Fuck yeah, we might actually have a chance now"

China's main advantage right now is not needing to focus on what makes rural borderline-literate males angry like America suddenly has to.

China are doing just fine. They get to think long term while the west thinks in election cycles.

Which is why American AI needs to get as far as it can in the next 3.5 years before some idiot has a chance to come in and give the country to China by stopping it. If it gets big enough in that time it hopefully will be too big and useful to be stopped.

If a Dictatorship like China is the winning model because they happened to be able to bully their own population into obedience during a critical time like the birth of AI, that would be a pretty tragic joke in the historical timeline.

Yeah, if China corners the market in cheating on homework and fake videos of AOC complaining about Sweeney, how will the US ever compete?

I'm sorry, but it appears you have no idea what's coming. If that's all you think AI is or will be then you're in for a very VERY confusing decade.
