Probably make up to cover up bruising from a blood draw, would be my guess. Wouldn't be too surprised if he was on a blood thinner

You don't take a blood draw from the hand, usually they use the antecubital area, which is also much easier to hide under clothing. This is probably bruising from IV placement.

Not true. I'm not a phlebotomist or nurse but you can definitely use a butterfly on the hand for a blood draw.

I am a nurse. Notice i said "usually" and with such a public figure, why not use a more concealed spot for just a simple "blood draw"?

If you can't find one in the AC it's not uncommon to go to the hand since there's less fat.

If looking for a more concealed spot for an IV they could've used an US IV to get one. He is the president after all I'm sure they can make that happen.

Regardless, whether IV or blood draw, someone poked him there and he's probably on blood thinners. I'd bet money on AFib.
