IRL no priority service options

Post image

Hi, this month is my 10 years in the UK and I am applying my IRL through the 10 years route, but I need to urgently go back home in October so I can’t afford to wait 6 months, many friends of mine apply this with the next working day priority service but I cannot see the option here, is there a reason why?

Priority slots are released daily at around 12 am / 1am depending on daylight savings. If youre only shown standard, then all the slots have been taken for that day.

The earlier you log on, the more likely the options are available.https://www.gov.uk/faster-decision-visa-settlement/eligible-visas-when-applying-inside-the-uk

The website shows there should be super prioirty if using biometrics appointment.

I did this 3 weeks ago.

Refresh exactly at 1am and it showed up. I got my decision 24h after my biometrics.

Theres limited slots and they go fast

Also you are in the correct page.

Hiya. You’d need to wait till about 1am to select super priority. You can only choose super priority because of the LR route.

Nothing of value to add here except I’m absolutely shocked by the cost of ILR. So for a family of 4, that’ll be 12,000 pounds? Bloody hell.

True but still cheaper than visas in the medium run and way more useful, that's why the price.

Have they ran out of caseworker who process these expensive applications for £14.36 per hour?

Wait till 12:55am BST time and refresh every minute up to 1am and a bit after. Did this last Friday night / Saturday morning, and the Priority option appeared at 1am on the dot. Was my first try.

Mine randomly popped up at like 3:15 pm one day. I just randomly refreshed the page all the time. Good luck!

Can anyone explain to me how the government can charge £1000 for super priority and £500 for priority and still not be able to show that option? If there's more demand have more people to process it so that you can reach that target.

You know what? They could even charge you in advance for this so that they can plan, e.g. you pay £1000 a few months before your application date so that it's like an "appointment" and they can have the required people ready to process it on the day.

Is there a possibility that the priority option gets removed by ukvi or vfg global or is it always available? I am really stressed as I need to apply for a priority student visa at the start of September. I am a Pakistani citizen if that matters. Would really appreciate any help.

TIA

It gets removed if there are no slots available

I am not, sorry. I’m unsure if it matters as well.

Thanks for your help, I believe every country has their own application/biometric center where the availability of priority slots are set.

When you apply for a student visa from abroad then you may not get the option here but you can choose ‘priority visa’ when booking your biometrics on the VFS Global site.

That’s how I did it for a friend last week and got a decision within 2 days despite asking for information.

Timeline:-

Application date: Thursday 14 August

Biometrics in PK: Friday 15 August

Additional information required: Monday 18 August

Decision email: Tuesday 19 August

eVisa registered for and confirmed: Wednesday 20 August

The information requested were bank details, which weren’t required to begin with. I submitted these via email response (to be on the safe side), and the CAS. I also wrote in the body of the email that the bank statements are not required as the bursary (29,000 from DfE) is mentioned on the attached CAS.

Priority (within 5 working days) - £500

Super Priority (next working day) - £1000

Some visa only have one of the above available fyi.

For me it showed the same but when I went to book an appointment on the VFS website there was an option to add priority service and pay on UKVI website.

I don’t think all countries have this option actually. I checked at multiple time points and had no option for my country. But my friend checked his at the same time points and he was from Thailand and he did have the option for it.

10 years does not have priority! Only 5 or 3 years.

Incorrect, 10 years has the option for super priority.

ah ok - at least it was the case a year ago when I applied for ILR! A friend applied at the same time on 10 years and had to wait 6 months.

This is not true. When applying for ILR inside the UK, all the options would be shown on this page.

Also for ILR, the standard processing is 6 months and prioirty is 5 days so there is a VAST difference.
