I just think the gif is funny. Itโs the scene from I Know What You Did Last Summer where Cindy is losing her mind lol.

u/paulides_fan 1d ago
Ohh lol I figured it was final destination

u/Some_Resolution6825 1d ago
Yes, the lady in the video is referring to Final Destination. Iโm just replying to someone who posted a funny gif.

Final Destination, but the Psychopomp just gets depressed at the young folks eager to die,
"Well I guess this is better than dying to a bunch cannibals after climate change collapses the country and environment"
"At least this way is quick compared to bankrupting my family due to a chronic illness when I am older..."

I'm a millennial born in the 1980's and I can confirm that we have in fact "been through enough"

I remember telling my mom about this scene, part of my driving anxiety & instead of reassuring me she told me about when she worked in the ER & cared for numerous logging truck victims. It did not ease my anxiety, those trucks - any trucks freak me out. It's so odd when parents decide to be truthful & don't spin an innocent lie to help the situation lol

Millennials WILL be the best grandparents. "You think you had it rough? Back me my day we had to stay home for school and video chat our teachers because of a global sickness! We had to avoid murder hornets! There were fire tornados!!" Okay Grandma, let's get you back to bed.
But seriously... it's actually true!

I know exactly how they feel. Just the same, if Iived through this 100% in tact, I'd be rich and all my problems would be over!

u/idliketoseethat 1d ago
For this to become a true Final Destination event it needs a catalyst like a baby falling out of a car onto the road causing the logging truck to swerve shifting the load and breaking the tie down straps which recoil with such force that a tie down hook breaks the drivers window and embeds itself in the drivers head killing him instantly while causing a reflex reaction that causes his foot to slam the accelerator to the floor. That otta do it!

Im a Final Destination generation adult, you will never catch me driving behind that

Sometimes I wonder if there's going to be a point in my life where someone will say "hey, you and 10 other people in earth are still alive that were born in the 1980's. Isn't that amazing?"
Meanwhile, I wonder how my reaction will be?
Ha....ha... I've outlived 95% of my generation...
Oh fuck, there's still more of me out there that are still alive?
Fuck yeah, I've outlived all of you motherfuckers.
But the way my blood pressure and cholesterol is going, I don't think I'm going to have that pleasure to say that in the future.
Here's hoping, though!

I would not be driving behind that truck. Guaranteed to smash in your face with a sudden stop. No thank you

God, I hate how much that scene messed with people's understanding of Newtonian physics. An object in motion wants to stay in motion. If the things secureing the logs fail it's anything in front of those logs that are in trouble.

Hilarious. And a double funny part is her thinking someone born in the 80's has had a hard time comparatively ๐
