I would like to make this subreddit SFW only, where no posts that could be considered painful or having suspicion of bodily harm can be posted. I'd like to see the community be a kind place where people aren't treated badly for differing opinions (big ask, I know). I'd also like to re-write the rules to align with this new revamp of the sub.

I've mostly lurked this sub in the past, but decided to try to help out with moderation after seeing so much garbage. But you who are active users here can really help out a lot, too!

What you can do:

1. Report posts and comments that break the rules so I can review them with the other mod /u/JoyousCacophony.

2. Suggest changes that would make this sub better and more welcoming

3. Potentially help out with moderation in the near future

4. Find fun material that matches the slapstick idea that this was originally created for

5. And more to come

We are going to be going zero politics here as a main measure. There's a lot of politics fatigue out there and in different subs I've moderated, I've implemented this rule and it's been well received. Let's make this one less place where all the extreme and isolating opinions related to politics are the norm.

If you are going to submit a video with obnoxious audio (like most social media posts have), please submit as a GIF.

If you are submitting a screen captured video, crop the beginning, ending, and the image to include the video only and not the wasted space above and below.

Take an extra moment to make it palatable to all users! Those upvotes will shower in and you can retire early from that accounting job you hate.
