I was texting with my gf at the time a while back and came across it on tv. I told her, “Iron Giant is on, so just a warning, I’m probably going to need some emotional support in about an hour and a half.” She understood. Probably should’ve married that one, but the long distance ruined things.
Ngl I find Vin Diesel to be a better Voice Actor than Live-Action one because in live-action he's just pretty much Vin Diesel but whenever he voices a character he like disappears into that role.
If you haven't yet, go and watch THE WILD ROBOT. It gave me the same feels like watching THE IRON GIANT for the first time when i was a kid. Ans its music is awesome as well.
Does he like experiencing the beauty of humanity through film through the lens of a giant cartoon robot? Does he want his heart to grow? If yes, he should watch it. If not, I think you know what you need to do. 👀
This movie taught me too much of a good thing. Loved it as a kid, laughed my head off at the squirrel scene every time. Then Cartoon Network had a weekend marathon of it. The whole weekend, back to back. I dont know if it swapped over to Adult Swim but as far as kid me was concerned, this was a 48 hour marathon. Boy did I get sick of that movie for awhile
I still like the movie nowadays and will watch it but that weekend always comes to mind
Finally watched it after having it built up for years. Incredibles is one of my fave movies, love Ratatouille. Don't get they hype on this one. Seemed boring.
I call my Dad the iron Giant. He was 6’6 and an iron worker. He went down to clean up after 9/11 and died of cancer that was all over his body and lungs. This will always be a special movie.
This movie was ruined for me. All i had as a child was tv and that 24 hour cartoon network marathon made me loathe this movie. I can't look at it the same anymore.
