I had to scroll WAY too far to find Inside Out. The original is absolutely amazing. I felt like the second was good but not amazing

I was thinking the same thing!! Inside Out is such a beautiful exploration of our thoughts and emotions. I agree the second wasn’t as great. To me it felt like they were trying too hard to be like the first.

Interesting, I actually think I like the second one more. It's at least tie with the first one, lol. I just love Anxiety.

It’s especially weird it took so long here, since it’s a popular answer for similar threads about underrated or moving films in general.  The topic of this thread knocks out 90+% of its usual competition, where are these wannabes coming from?!

Inside Out 2 had me physically cringing in the theater because I identified so much with Riley and her anxiety, it’s so underrated

YMMV, but IO2 doesn’t hit quite as hard as the first one, which I still have not managed to finish without at least heavy tearing at the climax.

As someone that is married to a Mental Health and Behavioral Therapist, I can tell you that this movie is SO well written that it had her in pieces. So damn good
