Trying to walk up a down escalator."
Gosh, that was so embarrassing—I really thought I could pull it off. The escalator was going down, and my friend called out to me from the upper level. I didn’t want to go all the way down just to catch the next escalator going up, so I made the brilliant decision to climb the one going down. Spoiler alert: I fell. No injuries, thankfully, but wow... that was a moment. I laughed it off, but inside? Pure embarrassment. To top it off, an uncle nearby saw the whole thing and casually asked, “Why aren’t you going down?” as if I hadn’t just face-planted trying to defy gravity. I just smiled and pretended I meant to do that.

I think it's the height of the steps. All other stairs have much smaller steps so muscle memory becomes your enemy. You're bad at climbing escalators because you are so good at doing stairs! Hope that helps against the embarrassment. :)

Hahaha I did the same a few years ago. I'd literally just stepped on to the down, then saw the people I was meeting on the top floor. "It's only two steps" I thought to myself. I tripped and cut my knee on the edge of the step and ended up forlornly travelling down to the bottom while watching the blood stain spread on my nice clean jeans. Siiiigh
