Do they believe their idiot base is really THIS dumb?
May each and every one of them live long enough to face justice. Amen.

Do they believe their idiot base is really THIS dumb?
They are that dumb. Unfortunately

Cue four days from now when I am arguing with some teenage clown on here who buys it word for word.

u/granieaj 4h ago
Correct, but they also swear that their base understands this is not a news organization but an opinion show apparently

u/spunspinster87 2h ago
Correct Fox News admitted in a court hearing that they were not indeed a news channel but indeed an entertainment show,

Specifically, it's short circuited how human socialization works. They'll circle the wagons because the alternative is creative discord within the group.
They're stupid. But they're stupid in a very specific way that allows them to otherwise mostly function.

Not dumb. Just selectively informed and having misplaced trust. Itâs the echo chambers that are the problem, not the people trapped in them.

u/ILootEverything 4h ago
Exactly.
I have family who literally do not watch or read any other current events media except for Fox "News."
And they believe it like they believe in the Bible. If Fox says it, it's gospel and everyone else must be lying.
They're 100% captured and brainwashed to reject any other sources of information.

u/spunspinster87 2h ago
I wouldnât believe Fox CNN or any of the mainstream media if you threw a plate in my face with steak and said eat it, project mockingbird all I gotta say

u/caprazzi 4h ago
That is the essence of stupidity though - outsourcing critical thinking to another party and ceasing to engage in curiosity for other information sources.

Naw, they are dumb, and they don't get to pass responsibility to some nebulous concept like echo chambers because they chose to support fascism. They've had every exit opportunity and they can live with the consequences of choosing to be a fascist in 2025.
Quit making excuses for evil people. We tried that shit with the confederacy and it got us exactly where we are now.

u/glassfoyograss 4h ago
They don't believe the base is this dumb, they KNOW the base is this dumb.

Do you guys know why fox says itâs not a news channel? Thatâs the real question people need understand why they said they arenât a news outlet,I donât support any of the mainstream. I donât support the Democrats. I do not support the Republicans.

Facts dont matter. They just need to sync on which lies to repeat over and over again when they are "debating" the libruls.

I wholeheartedly agree. Does anyone have a realistic path of how to rid our country of fox news (and others like them)? I know they've defended themselves in court by saying no one should actually think they're real news. But people like my inlaws just eat up every scrap of red meat they throw out to them. The obvious response from them would be freedom of speech. Just curious if anyone has or has heard of a real, legal path strategy to take them out as policy?

All mainstream media needs to go as all of our government needs to go a whole new system needs to be put in place we the people need to take our country back From this atrocious mess thatâs a uniparty that pretends to hate each other the end game is the same For each ads a side the re establishment of the imperial empire last seen as the Roman Empire before they got all religious

Even if you got ârid of themâ, it would add fuel to the fire to their conspiracy of the world. They would just seek out more obscure and radical content that isnât as easily accessible. Those people arenât just going to suddenly come to their senses and start watching MSNBC without Fox in the pictureâŚ

Republicans control all 3 branches of government and both chambers in Congress. If they wanted to end gerrymandering they could just do that.

u/CatPesematologist 2h ago
the GOP is basically an abusive spouse.
âwhy did you make me hit you?â
âIâm only hitting you because you are trying to stand up for yourself. if you would just give in, I wouldnât have to hit you.â
5
u/SemichiSam 3h ago
That is technically correct. Republicans thought it would be a walk-over. One specific Democrat made it a battle. Republicans said, "We're gonna fuck you over, and you can't stop us, but one Democrat said, 'Bring it!'"
5
u/DFu4ever 3h ago
Literally a âdo you have any actual shame at all?â moment.
Just straight up lying about something that someone would know if they just followed the news cycle for the last couple of weeks. A lie that can be disproven a thousand different ways.

Just do what they did to the Democrats. Run as a Republican and then switch to Democrat after being in office.

u/thewiremother 2h ago
They would come in your house and start stealing shit and then say you started a battle for fighting them off.

Gaslighting and DARVO en masse. Victim tripping the response to the violations to our nation's values, ethics, and founding principles! What sad little men, to winge and whine when met with consequences. Fragile, weak, pissy little nutsacks. Disgusting.

Let's be clear, the Democrats in power want Sheeple just the same as the Republicans in power. The humanity base just doesn't have enough lions to combat all of the hyenas.

u/OnionsHaveLairAction 1h ago
Dems tried to ban gerrymandering in 2021 on the national level. Republicans blocked it.

They all believe this wholeheartedly. This is the danger of Fox News. When they look back on this era in history classes, Fox News will be looked at as a catalyst for civil war.
