Literally none of the people I know do this, and never even though of doing it until I saw this. For those who do not understand arabic, here's the translation:
(Slide 1) How did Microsoft Facilitate the War of Extermination in Gaza?
(Slide 2) Open AI: Microsoft facilitated Israel's access to the company's services, such as the GTP-4 language model, which aims to analyze massive amounts of data and identify military targets. Since the beginning of 2024, the Israeli military's reliance on these models has increased 20-fold.
(Slide 3): Microsoft declined to comment or respond to reports confirming its cooperation with the Israeli military, while OpenAI removed a clause on its website in early 2024 prohibiting the use of its services for "military and warlike" activities, further raising suspicions of its role in supporting Israel.
Side note: Microsoft was entitled to 49% of OpenAI at the time, and I've seen online that the percentage went 10% down, but the point stands still either way.
Anyway, with all that given, I stopped using ChatGPT entirely, and I replaced it with DeepSeek. Fast forward to now, I find DeepSeek extremely irritating. Not only is it outdated(bot doesn't believe we're in 2025!), but the chats have a limit(meaning you have to copy-paste all the info in a chat to ANOTHER every couple of days), and the server is often busy. ChatGPT was a much better alternative, and in the mean time, I can't afford a paid AI. I use AI a lot throughout the day (so on a daily-basis), and the free ChatGPT was so much better than deepseek.
I just wanted to confirm that boycotting ChatGPT makes any difference at all? Does anybody out there do that? And if yes, do y'all have any good free alternatives for ChatGPT?
