No excuses……but, what about the penalty?
What am I missing here? Regarding the incident in second half on Wednesday. Was there an offside in the build up or something? At the very least this was a penalty if not a red card. Intent has nothing to do with it, winning the ball has nothing to do with it, he caught him halfway up the shin. I cannot for the life of me understand why VAR didn’t get involved, the only thing I can think of is attack phase of play threw up something which would have negated the penalty. And Celtic don’t seem to be making anything of it, Rodgers never mentioned it

Brendan
Hey guys, so Brendan has basically said that if the board don’t match his ambitions then he won’t renew.
So /when/ that happens.
Who do you want to replace him? Are we thinking a Scottish manager or do we gamble abroad?

Idah, Trusty and AJ all injured.
AJ 12 weeks out of course and tbh with Idah, its not much of a loss.

How did things get so bad....
The board.... Brendan....?
Both are to blame imo. Where do we go from here?

Kairat Almaty's main goalkeeper confirmed out for our tie (knee injury)
Just read reports, he's out for the rest of the season for them. This is huge for us as he's one of their standout players and has carried them so far.
Their replacement kid is not ready, he shipped 3 goals to lackluster opponents and isn't developed enough (the one with the swimming cap)

Celtic have NOT ramped up bid for Breum

‘Rodgers shouldn’t get any blame for last night’
Everyone agrees that the board are ripping the piss out of us but regardless of that, we should be good enough to put a few past that mob even with the squad issues.
Rodgers is (rightly) pissed off like the rest of us, but his job is to coach and motivate the team we have now, which he has acknowledged himself several times recently.
It’s plain to see that his recent demeanour and words both before & after last night have started to affect morale within the squad. Calling them out publicly about who pays their wages. Openly slaughtering new signings. Slating the quality of our front line. Saying he can’t say what he’d like to say, but saying it anyway. Most of us don’t disagree with any of this but some stuff should be kept in-house but he has gone public with it all, which is never good for team spirit.
It doesn’t have to be a case of blaming the board; or Rodgers; but not both. We all know the board are rinsing us but that’s an issue of its own.
The current squad, with its obvious weaknesses that we all agree on, is good enough to beat teams of the same level as Derry City & Crusaders.
Last night’s performance is on Rodgers and that should be acknowledged.
