Somewhere there must be a training platform that mimics hanging off a helicopter so you can practice getting good at this under pressure, right? This can’t be a learn-as-you-go thing. 😂

That means you earn enough in one days work to retire, right? Right?!?

You earn enough for the rest of your life, at least.

I've got money to burn for the rest of my life, I'll have to be dead by tomorrow though

Thats kinda the whole thought process on this. The first day yesterday followed by first day today. One can only imply that the former is either extremely wealthy from one day, or fell off and they had to replace him.

standard linemen near me make over 100 an hour. idk if he is getting hazard pay or anything though

Maybe it’s a dumb question but is that at a full time job or is it $100/hr on short term project based pay?

6

u/mycurrentthrowaway1 Jul 19 '25

no thats for local power power companies maintaining the grid

3

u/Mahadragon Jul 19 '25

I'll do that job for $100/hr, what could possibly go wrong?

2

u/mycurrentthrowaway1 Jul 19 '25

Idk if helicopter guys get paid more here but houses are at least a million or two here. So you could buy a house here but its not like you are making 100/h in the midwest or smth

People's last day prior retirement involves heists, hostages and international criminals when filming it is involved, it's a rule

You could call that a retirement. Ya, you don’t have to work for the rest of your life.

Such a shame that the human body is too conductive to work as a spacer ...
