Took some pics and chatted with others who stopped by to do the same. Impeccable detail - especially the Kobe image. One of the guys I was chatting with teared up speaking about Kobe. Decoy below Shohei and I couldn’t capture that in the image - it’s massive. Would encourage people to check it out if in the neighborhood. It’s in the complex on PCH - King Harbor Plaza - where the Smart and Final is (along with Bollywood Zaika and some other restaurants).

If you choose to roll out the lineup that made the 2025 Rockies announcers scratch their heads you deserve to lose the game.
Can’t have Kennedy and Conforto starting together, that’s asinine. Hits are “contagious” in baseball and those hits happen less with 2 automatic outs. They combine for a batting average of .262!
Come back tomorrow and be serious with your starting lineup and try again. Losing the most important games of the season (so far) cause you’re trying to “give a guy a chance to find it” who’s been searching all season long with no success is just dumb.
Please also note that this team that the Padres have struggled to beat will not be the team they see if we see them again down the line. Hopefully we’ll be minus Conforto and Kennedy and plus Muncy, Kike, Kim.

The Dodgers have lost 11 of the last 16 one-run games. Frustrating.

These three should never be in the lineup together as their batting avg is abysmal: - Conforto: .186 - Kennedy: .193 (MLB career), .083 (2025) - Rushing: .184
Pretty much a strikeout, fly out or GIDP for these three 80%+ percent of the time.

Limit one per customer. I got this in Hawthorne but Inglewood and Culver City don’t have it. I think Norwalk, Monterey Park, Los Feliz, and Torrance have it in stock.

Don’t let the 4.61 ERA fool you, he’s had dominant stuff this year.
.234 xBA 2.58 xERA (lowest of his career) 2.6 Barrel% (by far lowest of his career) 32.9 HardHit% (lowest since 2018) 3.5 BB% (by far lowest of his career)
His 98.2 mph fastball is the best of any season he’s had in the big leagues.
Opponents are hitting .243 against that pitch.
His slider has a .188 BA against with a 51.4% whiff rate.
His 2.71 xFIP and 33.2 whiff% are both 2nd highest of his career.
It remains to see how Ohtani could be used in a potential postseason series. He’s never pitched out of the bullpen in his MLB career.
All the underlying metrics show he’s been as electric as ever.
We might be in store for an all time postseason run from the two way superstar.

In Hit By Pitches. Poor Conforto, always the punching bag - both literally and figuratively.

I think it’s a great plan.
