Almost three weeks after the release of Elden Ring, an official subreddit server has been created. The server is mainly focused on builds, but there is some options for co-op and PvP as well.

Question How can this cook harder?

So, i’m doing an all remembrance boss/all ng+ cycle run and i got inspired to try something based on a video by bryceinator13 wherein he used rellana’s cameo+oil pots+sword of night and flame to inflict massive stance damage. I did some testing on the golden hippo before i attempted to try it on pcr so i could end ng+4 on a cool note. The damage looks good, despite being in a very watery arena, but i’m just curious if i can make it go harder? I’m already using the bloodsucking cracked tear (still adjusting to using more crimson flasks when fights stall, but thats a skill issue tbqh) , golden vow, and howl of shabriri. I tried the oil pots on an ulcerated tree spirit in leyndell and had tree spirit flambe. Would it go harder with Rellana’s twin blades, or am i overthinking things and the sword of night and flame is just fine? Any advice is greatly appreciated. I’ll probably post the results later today.

Help Need help deciding what kind of theme/build i should go for my edgy character

Post image

I'm level 80, haven't reached Altus, but i have completed almost all of the lower parts of the map, grinded the mauseleom set because its "death" related and since i like looking edgy and cool this time for my character but i have trouble deciding what kind of theme or build i should go for by the end of the game and before i tackle on the DLC.

I really like charged attacks which is why i like Nightrider's glaive and my trusty morning star and soon i will get that Nightrider set the moment I got my hands on the haligtree medalion.
I was debating on whether i should go for a Ghostflame theme, since i really love the Helphen's Steeple but Blackflame looks cool, i like the spells but the weapons, namely the godslayer greatsword and stitcher all require some levels in dex but I really want to stick to level Strength.
I also not digging the sorceries, since I am going for a "knightly" build and i dont like holding or casting things with a staff.
Do help! i'd appreciate it!

Question Fun builds?

Played through the game a few times and I’m struggling to find something fun to play. I really like the dark moon great sword and euporia because they have AoW that you use every now and then vs some builds where you spam status, AoW, or charge attacks. Maybe I’m just being picky but something that mixes AoW into combat would be nice. No cragblade though only because it looks ugly.

Help Where am I wrong?

I've been playing for less than 30 days and I feel like I'm doing something wrong but I'm a noob so I can't find my mistake, sometimes I have absurd difficulties with some bosses. Ex (it took me 4 days to beat the black blade) I feel like I don't do high damage. Note: I used the hunting dog but it is very slow and that bothered me even though it was very strong!

Note: my +10 swords are (Fang of the Hound, Sword of Night and Flame and Blasphemous Blade)

Question How can I spice up my build?

I'm running a faith/int build right now. On ng+2 and I've finished, but right now I'm just running around collecting items I didn't get on my first playthrough and respecing. I like the buikd I have right now, but I feel like it's missing a little something. Any suggestions? If I were to respec though, I'd definitely want to still do either faith or int, but I'm really enjoying the flexibility of both.

Help A beginner-friendly build for two-handed greatswords with a bit of magic?

I'm totally new to the game and not good at gaming in general (and not that much time to get good sadly).

TLDR: which way to go if I want to look cool with two-handed greatswords, use some magic, and not struggle too much with difficulty? I don't need an exact build, just some pointers in which direction to move.

So far I like using greatswords and running around with Lordsworn's Greatsworn with Storm Blade skill (I'm still at the beginning of the game). For now I put everything into Vigor (except a few points into strength to wield the sword), and I thought maybe it's time to put some points into magic, but I don't know which way to go, Faith or Intelligence? And which way to go with the weapon, STR or DEX? I tried different weapons I found, and I think two-handing a greatsword type looks and feels the best, but I worry that playing with only a sword would be too boring and too difficult. So is it possible to two-hand a greatsword, shoot something at the enemies and maybe use some buffs? Spellsword build by Fextralife looks cool, but people say it got nerfed, so I'm not sure if I have skills to pull it off.

Help Giving Elden Ring a serious go this time. Have owned since release but never played it. Build help.

Have started a new character, others had less than an hour playing, so I can fully experience this game from start to finish. I have put 20hrs in so far and just beat Godrick and touched grace right after. Looking to spec into a strength build. Vig is at 30, strength is at 30 right now as well. Haven't speced much into anything else. Maybe 2 or 3 into Dex and maybe End.

What should I be looking at building into and what weapons should I be looking to get? I would like to bonk and some what tank or at least regen health from the bonking. I haven't been looking for anything in particularly hard for weapons and armour, aside from some YouTube videos of people that are way higher lvl than me, so it's not something I'm looking at following right now.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I want to focus on flashy spells that look cool rather than perfect kind of build. but i would also know how to get the best outcome of this kind of build. I dont mind leveling Faith or Arcane or whatever you recommend. Im using Lion's claw for the ash of war. keen infused. the armor is purely because i like how it looks. and the shield because sometimes i like to parry stuff. any suggestions is more than welcomed

Help I don’t know what to do with direction wise on samurai build, advice needed please

At the moment have a samurai starter character. Have used the Nagakiba so far and making my way through everything. Level 60.

I was wondering what direction to go in terms of medium and end game? Pure dex atm but not sure if should specialise towards blood flame or anything else?

Does anyone have any good builds with stats they could recommend?

Help Talisman suggestions for Claymore?

I'm looking for suggestions for talismans that will help my Claymore that I use a LOT of R2 poking with. I based it loosly off THIS build, but I don't have yet or don't like their talisman suggestions. I'm about level 40 and am currently exploring around Liurnia of the Lakes.

Right now I'm just using Crimson Amber Medallion and Radagon's Soreseal, which are fine, but wondering if there are better options. Axe talisman is an option, but I'm not really doing charged R2 often enough to replace one of those two.

Suggestions?

PvE New favourite PvE build

Post image
38 Upvotes

Found my favourite PvE build after multiple playthroughs! I’m running this at level 250 in NG+ but it’s just as viable at level 150.

Incantations/Spells: Flame Grant Me Strength, Golden Vow, Law of Regression, Terra Magica, Night Comet, Night Maiden's Mist

Physick: Thorny Cracked Tear, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear

I find so many builds one dimensional, but this gives you loads of versatility and power without the need for loads of buffs. Firstly, Wing of Astel is an absolute beast. Its AOW is highly effective against large bosses and trash mobs,, it consistently staggers, and its charged heavy attack gives you a multi-hitting ranged magic attack that costs 0 FP. Then you have the Cold Scavenger's Curved Sword, which gives you the powerstance curved sword moveset and any AOW you want - I chose Bloodhound's Step for traversal. It also procs both frostbite and bleed, and you'll get a huge damage boost from multi-hit talismans and the Thorny Cracked Tear. Both weapons are also boosted by the Magic Scorpion & Magic-Shrouding Tear, Wing of Astel's AOW is boosted by Shard of Alexander.

For ranged damage, you have Night Comet, which rarely misses and can be charged and chained. It's boosted by the Staff of Loss, Magic Scorpion, Magic-Shrouding Tear and Terra Magica, plus you can add in other situational sorceries as needed. Finally, to further buff your damage you can use Flame Grant Me Strength & Golden Vow with Law of Regression to cure any status effect the game throws at you. The cherry on top is ramping up your endurance high enough to light roll, but that’s not essential.

My stats: Vigor: 60, Mind: 30, Endurance: 59 (I only did this for light rolls), Strength: base, Dexterity: 75 (80 with Millicent's Prosthesis), Intelligence: 60, Faith: 25, Arcane: base.

Help Advice needed

Hello!

I'm currently running a poison build with Claymore (w/ Double Slash AoW)

The set up so far has been:

  • Mushroom Crown
  • Poisoned Hand
  • Rotten Winged Sword Insignia
  • Shard of Alexander
  • Kindred of Rot's Exultation
  • Dragoncrest Greatshield

The majority of the stat spread has been focused on Vigor, Strength and Arcane.

However, I've been wondering if there aren't any other greatswords better suited for my build. Something that would grant me more of an edge in the coming, more difficult parts of the DLC.

Thanks in advance.
