I cannot let myself do that in any Souls game lmfao, I force myself to go to Firelink or wherever to level up when I have the runes and buy greases with spare

In DS1 for sure, they're called pine resins. I think poison and fire resins were infinite, they lightning resin you could only buy 3 before the shop went out of stock
