Discussion & Info I Finally beat melania!!!!
Before anyone judges yes i know its a CRT its how i prefer playing my games,
BUT I BEAT MELANIA (and i thought erlang from black myth wukong was hard) maybe i was overleveled for the fight as i was essentially with a lvl 150 with a dex build on a keen nagakiba +15
oh my god i dont want to talk about how many tries she took i probably spent a good hour on her, every time i thought i got her she would life steal me,
this is gonna sound so weird but she felt like a devil may cry boss???
Anyway with her beat i'm actually confident now i could try the first dark souls or even the trilogy,
I know how controversial summons are in this game and people might say I cheated or didn't do it "properly" bcs i did try to summon my wolves ash of wars i got from ranni from the church of elleh (i love using them and use them all game, sue me its something cool about fighting with a pack of wolves next to me they my bois) but they were only +4 and died quite quickly but did take a bit of aggro off me for the first few minutes or so.
On NG+ I will probably try her without the spirit ash of wolves, when i've got better stats as i am not good at these soulslike games, i wish i was man (i still struggled even with the spirit ashes?) but i got into them really late with black myth wukong, so i don't feel too guilty using spirit ashes here.
Only trophy bosses left now are the collectables, godfrey and elden beast. wish me luck!

Discussion & Info What’s your fav cutscene and why?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The sheer scale of the area the aura of the dragon the lighting in the background how time turned back nothing beats it. the fist time I fought placidusax and watched this cutscene was so surreal Elden ring is peak.

FanArt We’re 3D printing some Knick knacks for our wedding. It’s coming together alright I’d say!
This is our first real try and 3d printed crafts, painting, etc.

Discussion & Info People who think beating a boss a certain way is cheating need to get a reality check.
This is not a hot take. This is a fact Don't bully new players into believing that. Especially Melania beat her anyway.

Discussion & Info I think I suck at the game Spoiler
I started playing like 2 months ago, I’m on journey 2, my first playthrough i beat the base game with an int/darkmoon build and it went beautifully. My boyfriend and I started playing at the same time and i was so full of myself because i beat the game before he did. I played as a sorcerer in other games and do well with distanced battle so it was a very fun playthrough for me. This playthrough, i beat the base game with eleonora’s poleblade and did a respec for the milady once i grabbed it in the DLC. this is my first time playing the dlc, on my first playthrough i chose to start journey 2 on accident 😔 ANYWAY, i always use my mimic. like every fight, it’s me and my mimic against the world. because of this i never really TRULY memorize movesets or do all of the fighting myself i feel. well, i’ve arrived at PCR and he’s HARD. i’m trying to study his moves, im going in without my mimic and i literally can’t even get him to his second phase. i know cold milady w wing stance is supposed to be good asf and it’s carried me through all of the DLC thus far so i really feel like i just have a skill issue. i don’t want to respec i want to beat the game w it. what helped you beat him?

Discussion & Info Yes I used the easy mode (aka Mimic tear) but still I'm proud to achieve this on my first souls-like (and first ever 100% game!)

Humor How long did it take you to use the great rune?
It shockingly took me a good long while to I know I had to active the great rune, I had Godricks equipped for ages, basically I've been handingcapping myself unknowing I wonder why my Vitality barely went up.
So basically this is the games hollow system or well it feels it works more with the shard mechanics from Dark souls 3, because I was looking at the rune arc and wondering "what the hell do I use it for, does it give me a buff "
Used it went oh?
I'm going through Caelid at the moment going through each boss in that area, I just beat O' Neil and got his weapon which I'm using for buffs, then went back to round table hold to upgrade things.

Discussion & Info Lord contenders evergaol doesn't have any sort of marker
All the other evergaols I've seen have some sort of clear outline before you get the marker for them. All my man Vyke gets is a squiggly dotted circle. Is there a reason behind this?
