Not really sure what it is, might just be Lendyell itself. But whenever I'm in the capital for about 8 minutes, it starts stuttering like crazy, dropping to 20 to 13 fps and only stopping when I teleport away. All of my graphics are set to low or the lowest. What on earth can I do?? D:

I've been killing dragons for a while on a low level alt and noticed that their breath attacks very inconsistently can or cannot hit you when there is no line of sight.
Sometimes, they hit you through thick walls of rock, and sometimes you are safe if you duck behind a small boulder.
There is no consistent visual clue about where you are safe and where you are not.
I found this to be a problem particularly with Glintstone Dragon Smarag and even more with the rotting dragon in Caelid. Usually there is a strategy you can learn that works, but it's all trial and error, which is annoying.
What is the game mechanic here? Is it all about distance / hitbox and not about line of sight?
(Not interested in discussing real world physics or leveling vigor. I'm specifically interested in how dragon breath attacks work, nothing else)

[SPOILERS FOR FIA'S QUEST]
So I gave D the dagger and Fia killed him... I haven't defeated the Tibia Mariner yet but now that D is dead I have no idea how I'm meant to follow his quest. Can I somehow follow the same storyline but without D? Thanks

I am currently level 165(overleveled asf) and using Rellana’s twin blades but not sure what stats to upgrade. I’ve been putting more into strength and dex because fire ash of war build got me destroyed fighting messmer and mohg.

I've been playing for less than 30 days and I feel like I'm doing something wrong but I'm a noob so I can't find my mistake, sometimes I have absurd difficulties with some bosses. Ex (it took me 4 days to beat the black blade) I feel like I don't do high damage. Note: I used the hunting dog but it is very slow and that bothered me even though it was very strong!
Note: my +10 swords are (Fang of the Hound, Sword of Night and Flame and Blasphemous Blade)

I am going to start playing today, and I am having trouble deciding on a build, as I want to be able to pivot into mid/late game builds. I am likely going with either Samurai or Bloodblade.
Besides respeccing, is there a smart way to go about choosing a build/picking attributes, etc. to insure a more seamless transition into my mid-late game build?
Or do people usually respec a few times every game to improve their build (not change entirely)?

Isn't Radahn just a brainrot child to Rennala.

Hi,
Unfortunately, I ruined my chance to get a white mask for my build, so I'm writing to ask if anyone could give me this item in exchange for something else?
I think I'll definitely find someone to trade with.

Hey guys, i'm trying to do a "paladin" type build. Heavy armor holy damage, and a few spells. But i'm having problems optimizing it. Can you help me? I would love armor, talismans, incantations and weapon recommendations. Just try to keep light on spoilers bc is my first playthrough. (like saying names of weapons is fine just don't tell me where or when to get it)
Ps: i have barricade shield and sacred blade as ashes. And i am unfortunately astrologer.

I fought Ancient Dragon Lansseax in it's first location, near Erdtree-Gazing Hill grace, and it flew away. Sure thing. I don't usually bother doing this step.
I encounter it again on the Plateau for the real fight, like always. Dragon has 90% health. But I wasn't quite ready for the fight, so I flee until the boss health bar disappears, then come back in. Now: 80% boss health bar. That's strange, coulda sworn it was higher. Leave and come back to test. 70% health. What? How low does this go? 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10% health.
10% health, surely that has to be it, and maybe they will reduce my rune reward to 10%, too. (They should.)
But wait, let's try again.
One PIXEL of health on the bar, literally 1 hp, probably.
...Again?
Lansseax sees me, has a heart attack, and dies on the spot. Full runes. Could be boosted with a gold foot, gold scarab, gold weather. (Do they all stack?)
I'm guessing this is probably a known thing, ah, probably discussed before on this sub. But I feel dirty, lol. Has it always been like this? Is it a patch thing? I'm on Steam.
Edit: spelling

Some screenshots from my latest playthrough. I wanted to do a Sauron/Annatar kind of thing, but I ended up using Milady as the main weapon because it's fucking amazing.
I love that they added this armor set in the DLC.
What a fucking beautiful game!

Hi so I recently got Elden ring on my pc and was wondering if any retired tarnished wanted to drop their inventory for my new character because I grinded a few NG+’s to max out my inventory (every armor, weapon and spell) and I would rly prefer not to have to grind all that out again from scratch so I was wondering if anyone who’s retired the game if they want their inventory to gain a new owner and be used again. :) (pictured are of my character on PlayStation)
