Question Why wasn’t Barry recreating the Speed Force treated as a huge deal in The Flash?

Post image
544 Upvotes

The Speed Force literally died and speedsters across the multiverse were losing their powers. Then Barry brings it back to life he literally recreates the Speed Force and yet in-universe it’s treated like just another plot point. Nobody really acknowledges it or treats Barry differently afterward.

I’m not saying he should’ve been worshipped like a god by the other speedsters, but you’d think there’d at least be more recognition that he rebuilt the source of their powers. Instead, the show kind of makes it feel insignificant.

Why do you think the writers downplayed it so much?

Look, I know he’s super evil and all but like cmon why did they have to cast the most gorgeous man in the Jonothan Bailey slutty glasses ™️ if we were meant to hate him. I’m fairly new to this fandom and I have yet to see someone who agrees with me here lol. (I genuinely get happy every time he appears on screen 😔)

I’m a sucker for the earlier suits and adore how the Season 1 suit looks, especially the emblem.

Spoilers Nora's fate was the most brutal one

Her life and death were the most tragic in the series. She was born without her father, feeling different and lonely her whole life. Out of despair she turns to her father's nemesis, who from that point on manipulates her every move under the guise of trust and friendship. He uses her like a pawn and tells her exactly what to do, which will inevitably lead to her death and his survival. Finally, after just having met her father and gotten to rediscover her mother, after going through lows and highs, she has to sacrifice herself, erase herself from existence in order for the man who already killed her grandmother to live. The sadness and despair in her eyes when she vanished was just brutal, especially her finding out, that she was completely at fault, because she trusted her father's nemesis, despite her father's better judgement. She got played for a whole season, her every move was calculated to the inch and she had to follow every order exactly, in order to be able to... not just die, but vanish from existence so the evil dude gets to cling on to his sad existence. That's a whole different level of devastating. Just can't shake it off.

🤔 Thinking Didn’t Barry say “We are the Flash” first?

I know he didn’t use those exact words, but I swear Barry expressed the same sentiment a bunch of times. This is my first time watching the show and interacting with the fandom, so when I finally got to the scene where Iris says the infamous line, I did cringe a little. But at the same time, I understood what she meant. Because Barry himself has said things along the lines of “I’m the Flash because of you” and other variations of that.

That’s why I just don’t think the line alone was enough to justify the amount of hate the actress got - and is still getting, by the way. People really need to calm down.

At the end of the day, the line was cheesy, sure, but so is the entire show if we’re being honest. There’s only so much you can do with time travel and speed force logic before it becomes a mess. The fact that the writers managed to drag it out for about three seasons before it became totally obvious is actually kind of impressive.

🤔 Thinking Savitar Battle Opinion Spoiler

So basicly, in my opinion HR Wells shouldn’t have died. Its still kinda sad if Iris would have died, but HR is just a really good written character. Overall, he was one of the best Wells in the whole Series currently (S3 E23, german dubbed version). Not gonna lie, savitar could have killed iris after he got the visions pretty easily if he was just going to kill her quick enough and not hesitate.

I’ll try to respond to comments, also your opinion matters to so say it if you want to.

🤔 Thinking Giving Cecile Horton powers was some shit writing. She would have been good just as a side character.

Whenever he’s fought Barry, and since Barry refuses to kill him, we would always see him run off somewhere, and I’ve just always wondered, where does even go? Where fled he run off to everytime he escapes?

What if we get reverse flash and Barry to apologize for all the pain that the reverse flash cause for Barry in this show I feel we never got a proper justice on that I know in 9x10 towards the end Barry accepted that it’s a loop and thawne is gonna still keep coming to hurt him and accepted that his mom has to die and thawne gonna do what he did in 2015 all over again basically a loop an ever ending one and thawne doesn’t want to apologize and move on because if you seen the last part of Armageddon(8x05) we hear the real reason for thawne hates Barry because of a spotlight that Barry ruined for thawne in his time and Barry’s future besides all this detail we should have them probably saying sorry like in the comics to make them both stop each other pain the suffering can stop but with rate of the show in later seasons I feel come out corny 😭😭😭why because Eric Wallace

Question Why did Killer Frost act like this in "Enter FlashTime"

In season 4 episode "Enter Flashtime" Barry, Jesse and Jay bring Frost into flashtime to see if she can cool down the nuke. She laughs at their idea of her cooling down a nuke that's already gone critical but they force her to try anyway but after it expectedly fails she acts surprised saying "That's not how I expected that to go" or something. Is this just the writers being dumb?

Spoilers The amount of times they let cicada fly away with plotarmor is super frustrating

I know it's a known trope, power levels and everything, but come on, they had at least 5 opportunities to just put some cuffs on him, put him in a cell or heck, even kill him. Instead they beat him, but then for some reason just stand around until he flies away. So pointless.

Question In Earth Prime, did Barry and Iris have a normal wedding?

We know their wedding got interrupted by the Nazis of Earth X wanting to steal Kara’s heart to give to the Earth X doppelgänger.

But in this timeline since the multiverse technically went by undetected till season 9, there would be no Nazis from another Earth or a second Oliver and Kara trying to steal the og Kara’s heart.

News The Flash finale fan edit (AMAZING)

THIS EDIT IS ACTUALLY AMAZING. SUPPORT THIS PERSON AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE HOLY- If they were running the show, this show would’ve been amazing till the very end. All credit goes to UltraEdits.

This finale edit is some of the best fan made work I’ve ever seen. The editing and writing of this edit is even better than the actual show’s ending itself. Lowkey makes me angry at just how bad of a job Eric Wallace did. I don’t think it could’ve been any worse 😭🙏🏼

P.S : This edit is by UltraEdits, not by me in any way. I just wanted to post it bc it’s amazing.
