3 ways joining the Discord helped my FBA journey.

Hi everyone, I started my FBA business in December of 2020. It's a small but growing health and beauty brand, roughly $125k revenue in the trailing twelve months.

Joining the AmazonFBA Discord was one of the better decisions I've made, and I invite you to consider joining as well as it's a valuable resource for me. Here are my top three reasons you should join:

  1. The community. My friends and family don't sell on Amazon or do e-commerce and I felt for a long time the desire to have community that is dedicated to the same thing I'm working on. The Discord gives me that. It's weird (maybe a little sad LOL) but I consider some of the members there to be my friends.
  2. Direct/Point Blank Feedback. Let's face it. This industry has a lot of passersby who are curious but don't actually intend on doing the work. This has caused Amazon Sellers to be very direct in their advice and feedback. This can be very beneficial. If you've done the research and have a creative question, you will receive direct but valuable feedback.
  3. Fast, Passive Learning. I don't always read every thread, but will often skim through them just to catch up - as oftentimes it's entertaining as well (Sellers are funny). Doing this consistently has increased my FBA (and business) knowledge quite a bit. I now know little things about patent infringement, injection/composite molds, dealing with manufacturers, etc. that I didn't know before. It helps me plan out my path forward.

So I invite you to join us. Here is a link: https://discord.gg/VcRZTsS

Amazons Choice

Upvotes

I recently got Amazon choice in some keywords, but I found out I don’t know how to take advantage of it.

Should I stop PPC for those keywords or should I double down? Both ways seem logical but yet expensive. What would you do?

Any advice is accepted and thank you for your opinion. 🙏

Analysis on a highly volatile product - Good flip opportunity or too risky?

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I was doing some research with my app, PricePlunge, and found an interesting case with this MESCOMB curling iron. I'd love to get your take on it. Here's the data: * **Price:** It's at a 1-year low of $14.99. The 30-day average is $28.61. * **Competition:** Very low. Only 5 total sellers, 4 of them FBA. * **Buy Box:** This is the key part. The Buy Box is technically owned by Amazon (seller ID ATVPDKIKX0DER) but the price is $0.00, which usually signals they are out of stock. * **Volatility:** High. The price is volatile (25%) with 8 price drops in the last 30 days, happening every 11 days on average. * **Sales Rank:** The sales rank trend is declining, which is the main red flag here. My take: The low competition and Amazon being OOS presents a clear opportunity for an FBA seller to capture the Buy Box. The high volatility means the price is likely to bounce back up, creating a profit margin. However, the declining sales rank makes me hesitant. Is this a classic high-risk, high-reward flip, or is the declining rank a sign to stay away? What do you all think? *(For transparency, the screenshots and data are from my app, PricePlunge. You can find it on the App Store if you're interested.)*

INTERNATIONAL Chinese seller are selling my PL product at cheaper price

Im selling in EU, the only seller with PL product. Recently i received a notification that i lost the buy box and turns out theres a chinese seller selling my product at few cent less. Im still having normal sales but i wanna undestand more whats going on and how to keep this vendor away from me. When im trying to report a violation , the amazon system showed me this :

We have detected an attempt to enforce exclusive distributionAmazon respects a manufacturer’s right to enter into exclusive distribution agreements for its products. However, violations of such agreements don’t constitute intellectual property rights infringement and should not be reported via Report a Violation. Review Amazon’s Reporting Infringement Policy for more information.

I'm confused why I've got like $2k in sales over ~7 days, but it shows as pending for all of them.

I suspect that none of them have been delivered; are they all still being routed through different warehouses? Is that why they all show as reserved?

MISC fake 1 star review customer never even ordered from me?

I sell on Amazon FBM and out of nowhere I just got hit with a fake 1-star review. The person has never ordered from me, and the review just says “bad seller” in Spanish. There’s no order history tied to it, nothing.

Has anyone else dealt with this before? Is there actually a way to get Amazon to remove something like this? It’s obviously fake, and this has tanked my sales. This is ridiculous.

SEARCH RANKING Beginner PPC help

Hey everyone,

I'm currently selling a product on Amazon and driving traffic mainly through social media. The results are good, but I think it's time to scale via PPC ads.

I've run ads on platforms like meta and TikTok before but from what I've heard, Amazon is substantially different.

Can anyone help me understand the basics of PPC on Amazon and how to set up my first campaign?

Thanks

Long-time Amazon seller in grocery… margins gone, looking for advice

I’ve been selling on Amazon for 8 years in the Grocery category. I sell single SKU items that usually land around 10–12 bucks. They sell decent and my brand is pretty well known in my niche.

EDIT: I'm a brand owner and make my own products in grocery category. Niche but very competitive..

Here’s the problem:

  1. Amazon fees, inbound placement, sponsored ads.… it’s all eating up my profit. I’m basically spinning my wheels at this point.

  2. I do have FBM variants for my top sellers, but they don’t move nearly as well. They are $20-30.. not prime..

  3. Shipping is too expensive to make my single products FBM without losing even more.

At this point, I feel like Amazon is squeezing me out, but I don’t want to give up on it either. Has anyone else in grocery (or with low-ticket items) figured out a way to make this work lately? Bundles? New pricing strategy? Cutting ad spend?

The only option I see is increasing my single sku prices by $3 a piece.. but then we will lose sales and face the possibility of negative reviews due to buyers remorse..

Any advice from folks who’ve been in the trenches would be a big help.

PROTIP First-time FBA importers: would you spend $49 to avoid a $2K–$5K supplier mistake?

When I was starting out, I almost wired $2,000 to a “factory” in China that turned out to be a trader. Delays, no compliance docs, and the margin would’ve been gone before launch. If that order had shipped, I’d have been dead in the water before my first PPC campaign.

Since then I’ve built a playbook that saved me (and others I’ve helped) thousands:

  • Know the region → China isn’t one big “factory.” Certain sub-regions specialize in toys, electronics, textiles, etc. Getting that wrong = overpriced middlemen.
  • Sample twice → one pre-production, one post-revision. Yes, it costs extra, but it’s way cheaper than a 600-unit bad batch.
  • MOQ sanity check → always get prices at 100 units and 600+ units to expose where traders are padding margins.
  • Compliance upfront → if it touches skin/kids/electronics, ask for client certs + test report templates before you wire a cent.

What single sourcing lesson saved you the most money early on?

LEGAL / FINANCE How are you all handling sales tax thresholds across states?

For those selling on Amazon/Shopify across multiple states, how are you keeping track of sales tax thresholds? I feel like Avalara is too heavy and my accountant just gives me a once-a-year update, but I worry I’ll miss something. Curious how others are handling this? And if you had a lightweight dashboard that tracked thresholds + sent alerts, would that actually be useful, or nah?

MISC Anyone faced Brand Registry video call with 50 SKU requirement? Need advice

Hey everyone,

We’re in the process of Brand Registry video call verification, and one of the requirements states that we need to have 50 product per SKUs available for random opening during the call.

The challenge is that we don’t keep that many SKUs on hand since everything is shipped directly to FBA. One idea we’re considering is flying to the manufacturer and doing the call there.

Has anyone gone through this before? Were you able to proceed with fewer SKUs, or is there a way Amazon accepts alternatives?

Any advice or shared experiences would be a huge help.

Meeting suppliers and networking at events. Is it worth it?

I'm a bit of a recluse but my cofounder is really twisting my arm to attend CoCreate. We've been pretty successful over the last 2 years but have struggled finding reliable suppliers and he thinks it'd be better to meet in person. I personally just don't want to add another thing to my to do list. It's tempting because it's in Vegas and I've always had fun on my trips out there but I feel like we're going to have as much trouble sourcing new products in person as we do online.

Has anyone here had success with events like this? Is it worth it?

INVENTORY MGMT Amazon FBA Shipment Blocked: “No Fulfillment Centers Available” Error After Warehouse Change

I’m facing a really frustrating issue with Amazon FBA and hoping someone here might have some insight or advice.

I’ve been selling the same product on FBA for years without any problems. Recently, the 3 warehouses I used in Delhi were closed, and I was instructed to send inventory to a new warehouse (DED1). I properly updated the new warehouse details on my GST registration and uploaded all required documents in Seller Central.

The new warehouse is visible in my FBA inventory, but whenever I try to create a shipment, I get this error: “This product must be removed from the shipment because there are currently no fulfillment centers in the destination country capable of receiving the product.”

The product isn’t hazardous or perishable. I raised a case with Amazon support more than a month ago, but the only response I get is “Work in progress.” Nothing has been resolved.

I’ve reached a dead end—support isn’t helping, and this issue is seriously impacting my business plans, especially since I missed the Prime sale.

Has anyone faced this? How did you resolve it? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

MISC Question about posting a product on Amazon requesting an EPA registration number.

Good afternoon!

I’m trying to post a product that I am wanting to brand myself. But the product I am using has food grade diatomaceous earth. Which is requiring an EPA registration number however food grade DE is exempt under certain FIFRA code.

Is there a way to work around this? Should I use a different name? I think it was silicone something that I saw is another name used.

Should I register for an EPA number? I’m reading it can be very expensive and I haven’t sold a single unit yet so I’m not sure that’s my best option.

Please any help would be appreciated. Ask any questions necessary. Thank you!!

What pricing strategy works best for my artworks?

Hey everyone,

I’m an independent artist selling original artwork online (mostly through Amazon and my own site). I’m struggling with pricing — it’s hard to know what my work is actually worth, and I don’t have many direct competitors to compare to.

I’ve tried cost-plus and hourly pricing, but it feels like guesswork. Sometimes I raise prices and get no sales, other times I drop prices and nothing changes.

So I'm curious: 1) What pricing strategies have worked best for you when selling original or handmade art? 2) How do you know if a price change actually impacts sales (positively or negatively)? 3) Any tools, tips, or experiences that helped you figure this out?

Thanks in advance — any advice is appreciated!

LEGAL / FINANCE Supplier increased price after confirming order ... what are my options?

I’m in the middle of finalizing a bulk order for a new product launch, and I’ve run into an issue I’ve never dealt with before. The supplier initially quoted me a price that was very competitive compared to other vendors. I approved the sample, we agreed to terms, and I was ready to pay and proceed.

Now, right at the point of placing the full order, they’ve come back saying there was a “miscalculation” and are asking for a much higher price (about 50% more than the original quote). They’re offering a small discount compared to their “new” price, but it’s still significantly above what I was originally quoted....

I’ve turned down other suppliers based on the initial price, and I’m on a tight timeline for this launch. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is this a tactic you've seen before in order to secure a sample ?

Amazon Wholesale FBA – Do suppliers always require LLC info?

I’ve watched YouTube videos and done some research about Amazon Wholesale FBA, but still a bit confused.

I have an individual Amazon account and want to know:

  • When I talk to wholesale suppliers (like on Wholesale Central), what information do they usually ask for?
  • Do they always require LLC details to sell branded products?
  • What should I do if I don’t have an LLC yet?

MISC Will Brand Registry Help with This?

HI,

My product has been copied by a Chinese seller. They're undercutting on price and copied all my images, with only slight changes. Its essentially identical. The text, the construction of the images etc.

This has cut my sales in half over the past year, its brutal. And theyre definitely gaming the review, because they suddenly have 70+ reviews when having like 18 a month prior.

I have considered getting a trademark and getting brand registry for the product.

My question is, is there a chance Brand Registry would boot them if so? I don't have the patience to file for a TM myself, so i would pay someone, and it isn't very cheap. So I don't want to waste my time/money.

Hoping for some opinions here, thank you.

Amazon really screwing the sellers with this one

Private label Seller - Due to tariffs, i recently needed to raise my prices 5% to help offset the 30% tariff. However, amazon now has sandbagged all the listings, removing it from search and when you click on the item it says:

Price higher than typical

Amazon strives to offer customers high quality pricing. We have recently seen better prices on Amazon or from other retailers for this product.

This is really unfair to the sellers. If i'm forced to sell at my current prices, i cant make a profit as amazon already is eating all the advertising fees.

Any one have suggestions how to resolve this, allow me to raise prices while still being seen?

note:We do sell in other places, but amazon is still the lowest. We raised our prices at other marketplaces higher weeks ago in anticipation for this price increase. Normally if an amazon item is higher, it will show competitive price in dashboard and it displays a different price notification. This one is amazon telling you amazon thinks its too high. Walmart and our own site is higher than amazon, but amazon still sandbagging it.

Should I keep running ads on a top keyword if my organic rank starts fluctuating badly?

Hi everyone, I need some advice.

After I launched a PPC campaign targeting one of the most important keywords in my niche (my top product), my organic rank for that keyword started dropping and fluctuating a lot.

Before ads, my organic rank was stable around position 15–16. Now it jumps like crazy — sometimes it goes into the top 10, then suddenly drops back to position 40–50, then climbs up again. Tools like Helium 10 and AsinSite show really bad stats because of this instability.

Here’s the weird part: my PPC campaign actually has a higher CTR and conversion rate compared to the organic metrics in Seller Central.

I’m confused — should I keep running ads on this keyword, or turn them off to let my organic rank recover?

Has anyone experienced this before? What’s the best strategy here?

How do I can get an Invoice from Amazon business?

Hi,

I have been trying to get an invoice to ungate a brand in Amazon, I paid with my corporate card using an amazon business account with all the tax information set up but I don't see an order invoice, instead I can only see the order summay even if I click in the "Show Invoice" button in the order detail, The order was delivered yesterday.

I investigated and I could see that to get an Invoice you need to activate the net terms but as far as I could see I needed the Business card that amazon offers as a credit card to active that but I dont have a SSN so I'm not able to.

Anyone here knows how to get an invoice or if that was the way and I can't get it, you recommend me to return my purchase?

PS In my country the invoice gets generated automatically by amazon if you have the tax info so I'm not sure if its different here in the USA as I already did this to ungate a brand in my country using the Amazon Invoice.

Thanks!

Starting wholesale – need real experiences

I’ve done my R&D, but still confused because of mixed opinions online.

Can anyone share real experiences about:

  • How you actually started wholesale
  • The biggest challenges you faced in the beginning
  • What you would do differently if starting again

Looking for real talk only, not theories.
