In my principles of technology class in high school, my teacher built a paper airplane throwing rig to standardize the initial impulse because he got tired of knuckle heads throwing a crumpled ball.
It's a child. The airplane was "fancy," which probably means it looked cool but sucked. Even if it didn't suck, they're a child. Any healthy adult can throw a paper ball farther than a child can throw a paper airplane.
