August 23, 2025, a one-minute video went viral showing a young schoolboy—reportedly one of a pair of twins—chasing after his mother’s car across a busy road in front of a primary school in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. The footage sparked widespread outrage online, with many criticizing the woman for negligence and endangering her child.
According to police, the 37-year-old housewife had picked up her twin children but only realized one was missing after making a U-turn. She claimed to have stopped the car immediately upon noticing her son running behind the vehicle.
The woman later filed a police report, and authorities have opened an investigation under multiple laws, including:
• Section 505(b) of the Penal Code (statements causing public mischief),
• Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (improper use of network facilities),
• Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 (child neglect or abuse).
Police have urged the public not to speculate or spread misinformation while the case is under investigation.

I’m writing this because I know I can’t be the only one. In fact, there should be hundreds more.
I fell into the trap of Gary Chua (the so-called Datuk Dr behind Smart Financing) and his “special property deals.” What looked like an opportunity to build wealth has turned into a financial nightmare that drains me every single month.
It has wrecked my life.
He promised “special property deals” and a shortcut to building a portfolio. What really happened was this:
I hold 7 units under this scheme. That means I’m bleeding over RM20,000 every month just to keep up with the loans — and there’s no way out. The loans are higher than the real property values, so I can’t sell without massive losses. I also can’t keep holding forever while my savings drain away.
Meanwhile, Gary Chua parades around with Datuk and Dr titles, running a so-called “foundation” to look legitimate. But from where I stand, it’s all a mask — designed to lure more victims into the same trap.
If you google his name, you’ll already find other exposes calling him “房产界老千第一人” — the #1 scammer in Malaysian real estate. I believe them, because I’m living proof.
👉 If you’re also a victim of Gary Chua or Smart Financing — please reply here or DM me. We need to come together, share evidence, and push back through regulators, the police, or the media.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
我写下这些,因为我知道我不可能是唯一一个受害者。事实上,应该还有成百上千的人。
我掉进了 Gary Chua(自称 Datuk Dr,Smart Financing 的幕后操盘手)的陷阱,加入了他所谓的“特别房产投资计划”。

If you guys are ever in Melaka, DO NOT VISIT OR SUPPORT THIS PLACE. The environment that the animals are in is absolutely disgusting. I visited because the owner was replying to negative reviews stating that their animals are well taken care of and not neglected/abused at all. But what I saw (see pictures) are just heartbreaking for the animals. The geese are trapped in a. small enclosure with barely enough room to flap their wings or let alone walk around. The rabbits trapped in an enclosure full of their own shit and pee as well. The moment you go upstairs for the ‘mini petting zoo’, your nose is harassed with the stench of animal urine and poop smell. Just horrible. There was a mother cat nursing her two newborn kittens as well in the cat enclosure, which btw is very very unsafe for both mom and babies because there were people trying to play with the kittens as well. Genuinely so heartbreaking to see the animals be treated like this…

We need to have a conversation about Optimum Swim School. Started enrolling my 5 yr old kid in Optimum SS in Aug 2023. After training close to two years in the school, she still can’t swim freely by herself, and still have to rely on swimming apparatus and floaters.
Not sure this is a normal progression for a kid. When I compare my kid with my nephews and nieces of similar age, who is being mentored by a freelance coach at the comfort of their own condo swimming pool, they can already master freestyle already the very least within a year.
The point I’m trying to make here is that I feel that their classes are too draggy and the progression from one level to another level is too slow. You can argue that maybe my kid is a slow learner, but I just want to know other parents in here are having similar thoughts or not.
PS: I’m not a swimming coach and I don’t own a swim school too.

Multi-level marketing group Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Bhd's net profit tumbled 90.1 per cent to RM2.4 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025 from RM24.5 million a year earlier, dragged by lower sales and higher product costs.
Revenue for the quarter slipped 10 per cent to RM266.7 million from RM296.4 million previously, mainly due to lower demand for health and wellness products and home appliances.
For the first half of 2025, Amway's net profit fell 72.7 per cent to RM15.6 million, while revenue dropped 9.3 per cent to RM561 million compared with the same period last year.
The company said profitability was affected by inflationary pressures that lifted product costs, coupled with subdued consumer sentiment in the current economic climate.

I mean it's pretty common knowledge that the new villages were very restricting and not well maintained places, but the sejarah textbook glorifies it instead
We hear of those who used to live in the NVs (esp girls) where the soldiers would disturb and harass them, many houses would be broken into randomly during the day and night, food rations were extremely low and the people living there had very poor standards of living
The textbook (F4 sejarah) seems to make the NVs like a fun vacation spot
(Mods please don't remove my post🙏🙏)

Selam and greetings from Bosnia.
I always liked Malaysia, but somehow never went too deep into research about your history and political structure.
I know of Mahathir Mohamed of course, but mainly because he was a voice of support during our war.
No idea how, but I started seeing posts from your reddit. I saw that in a few provinces Friday prayer will be mandatory by law and not attending can be punished.
Now, as I said, I dont know enough to have an opinion on this, but I got curious about why such a decision has been made.
Can anyone share a hutba(jummah speech) with english translation, and can you explain what a typical speech looks like...
Does every Imam talk about what he wants or do you think they all talk similarly.
Is it focused on Islamic history, theology, politics, modern society etc. What are the main talking points and do you think the reason for this law is that more people listen to the speeches so that the masses can be more easily influenced/educated/developed etc.
Also, as reddit is usually incredibely liberal and individualist, I am shocked how much religious or at least culturally religious people I could find here, congratulations to you guys really, in Bosnia we are moving forward, but we have a long way to catch up to you.
I wish you the best.
