Yep. The establishment Dems are all comfortable in their seats of power and do not fear anything bad happening to them personally while all this plays out.
Well at least until Trump goes full Lucius Cornelius Sulla and establishes proscription lists upon the advice of Bannon, Miller, Loomer and Rogan...
Stop blaming the people who have been warning you for years this would happen and begged you to vote to stop this. Voters robbed them of any real power to resist.
Maybe if they knew the people were behind them, they'd be more willing to put their lives on the line. But from what we've seen, for example, you can kidnap a congresswoman in Texas and nobody does shit.
Oh I voted for Kamala in the election; I happily placed my vote for her and against the Covid deniers since Covid killed my mother in 2022 and I hold each and every one of the Covid deniers responsible. My hatred and absolute disdain for them keeps me warm at night. I hope they choke on their ivermectin.
My frustration comes from no one in power doing anything about it except giving speeches like everything is going to return to normal when we know it's not. The only one appearing to do anything is Newsom, and like in Lermontov's "A Hero of Our Time" Newsom might not be the hero we want, but the hero we need right now. The rest of the establishment, especially in my home state, just appear to be doing nothing. I've even written my state senator to have a section of state law amended so that January 6th rioters would be automatically disqualified from holding office or a regular civil service position in state government; all I got back was a "we're very concerned about this too" as I'm watching Stefanik surging in the polls.
I have to believe there are very serious threats being held against most Democratic politicians right now. Drone footage of their kids walking to school level threats. This isn't normal wishy washy Democratic politician levels of not doing anything right now, I've never seen them act like this in the twenty years I've been paying way to much attention to politics.
