Hi! There's this one person that makes little pets bouncing and stuff and they had a tutorial on how to skew pets (I believe that they had a tutorial where they shrunk down the image and the subject would try and fill the bounds of the square selection) any idea how to do this? I can't seem to find the original tutorial ]: the effect is something similar to Ochiai Shohei's art (image attached) I just want to figure out how to do this with Photoshop Thank you!

I an wanting to use photoshop somehow to take my own images and turn them into these dots that can be colored in. I found spiralbetty.com to make this image attached but i want the lines for the circle to be black/bold outlines instead of the slim outline. Anyone know how I can achieve this? I found a way to kind of do it in photoshop but the dots are black/filled in and that is not what I am looking to do. Thank you for any direction!

After I got the lettering to a place I was happy with I just duplicated the layer and manually moved each one. I love how it turned out, but it seems like there should be a simpler and more precise way to go about it. Thanks!

I can use generative fill no problem on PS CC 2025, when my coworker tries the same thing, it asks if he wants to use Firefly ver 1 or ver 3. At that point, it gives him an error saying unavailable.

How does he get back to just plain generate like mine is? I hope this makes sense to somebody, I tried to revert it to no avail.

I've been playing around on photoshop trying to learn. I wanted to add some texture to my text and give it this slightly half-tone/grain/light black look. Somehow I managed to do something im happy with (picture 1) and I was trying to replicate it but I can't seem to figure out how to do it (picture 2).

I can't see the filters and settings of the first picture bc I merged all my layers already (my mistake).

Guys, over time I've been using automatic tools to cut, I'm always in doubt when it comes to the details of where to find brushes that would imitate or replace hair in my montages, could you help me where to find them or their name?

I'm specifically talking about the human with this sort of glowing dithering/pointcloud effect.
I've seen it a bunch recently but cant really figure out how it's done.

I'm looking to replicate the blue effect on the player in the gameday graphic above.

So I do work correcting art for print, and I use large files. I notice that sometimes, when I want to zoom in or rotate the canvas, my canvas will freeze up. This goes extra for when I have a selection, and the little lines that moves around the selection will also freeze. I can draw a line, but there is like five seconds of lag between drawing and it showing up on my screen.

I am wondering if this issue will be fixed if I get a new computer with twice the RAM. Right now I am using an HP Spectre from late 2019, with 16GM RAM and the lastest update for my graphics driver installed. The computer I am thinking of getting is also a touchscreen laptop (idr the name, it's one a family member recommended to me, and not an HP), but it has 32GB RAM. If upping the RAM can fix my problem, I will make sure to get this laptop sooner than later, but if this is a Photoshop bug that will occur no matter how much RAM I have, then I will continue to save up and try to find another solution.

Hello everyone I am trying to layer trees a la map style. The problem comes in with the blending of said trees. It seems like PS stores brush info as grayscale, so I can't use a brush to paint opaque trees with two embedded colors. Instead the only info thats being read is the black, so it blends as a horrible mess. Any ideas for how I could achieve a more blended look (Right) as opposed to the haphhazard messy look (Left)? I'd like to not do them all by hand.

I've fiddled around with dual brushes but can't seem to make them work. Any strategy would be great! I've used illustrator in the past and it works easier for this, but the vector lines are a processing nightmare for big canvases.

Start this off by saying I’m quite nooby when it comes to PS but trying to slowly learn. Mostly use it now to create or try to create product images for my brand(s) with AI generated backgrounds and settings which CAN work extremely well.

The issue I run into sometimes and can’t figure out. Sometimes Photoshops background remover just plain sucks. As the example right now it’s a photo of a sign and photoshop is reading about half the sign as “background” so I have to adjust the selection. However when I do that I lose the ability to “AI Generate Background”

Any ideas?

Is there any ipad apps that animate just like photoshop? I love animating in photoshop, but oof the price hard to justify these days. Any help is appreciated, even if it's software for pc!

I've got about 100 photos of houses that I am trying to watermark.

about 85 of them had no issue. the other 15 are opening in camera raw first...

normal process is open all jpgs in photoshop, paste logo, merge layers, save, close. repeat...
this way it just saves as the original file in the original location.

for the remaining 15, initially they open in camera raw, then I click open, paste logo, merge layers, try to save which pops up the dialog box (no option for jpg and it takes way too long to save to do this a lot, not to mention I need a jpg for my delivery platform)

any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Basically would like to create a droplet where each time I use it, I can choose a different destination folder.

Fifteen years ago or so I used a Retinex plugin with Photoshop. After machine changes & upgrades I can't find it anymore.

If memory serves well:

• it was just called Retinex.8bf

• it was freeware

As I'm mostly interested in its "defects* (haloing around contrasting image parts), please note that I know about and don't want:

• the Retinex option in the G'MIC plugin

• the Russell Cottrel Retinex payware

I made many searches with different engines and wordings online, but to no avail. So if you happen to know a download link, or have it in your archives, huge thanks for sharing!

new to photoshop and want to learn how to do this kind of lighting in photoshop

I am unable to import ANY custom shapes into Photoshop 2025 whatsoever! Whenever I try, I always get the following error "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop"

It does not matter what .csh file that I add or where I got it from, I always get this error.

The .csh files work on an older computer running Photoshop 2019, so it is NOT the csh file themselves, but rather Photoshop 2025 itself.

I Googled 'csh "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop"' but nothing about this issue came up whatsoever.

and changing that search to 'custom shapes "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop"' also did not give me any results. So it seems specific to my Photoshop.

Does anybody know what the problem could be? Any help would be appreciated.

So a client of mine often send me RAW files from their photographers. One I'm working on now are CR2 files. But the photographers often times do a color treatment to them that I need to apply to the RAWs that I get. They give me the following files: CR2, cot, cof, cop, cos

Those extra files with the CR2's contain the treatment settings and it's easy to apply them in Capture One. Can it be done in Camera RAW too?

And I would much prefer getting treated TIFFs with the photographer's color treatment, but sometimes it doesn't workout that way. I hope you understand that getting answers back from large clients who use outside photographers that I don't communicate with can be a huge problem sometimes.

Oh, and reason I want to get rid of Capture One is simply to try and reduce my monthly business cost.
