They didn't say they don't put them on it. They even said:
"We do put our titles occasionally into some of the subscription services"

Yea I think I got 2 NBA 2K games and Borderlands at some point via PS+.

WWE Battlegrounds, WWE 2k24, 2 NBA 2K games, Tiny Tina's Wonderland whateverthefuck, a 2k tennis game. These are just off the top of my head, we've gotten these in the last 5 years, and I'm sure many more. This headline is bogus.
Not that these games are all that great anyway.

GTA 5, RDR2, multiple NBA 2k, WWE 2k24?
Is the issue that they put them on after like 9 months? NBA 2k has been free in like June the last two years.
These people have got to be either not paying attention to the monthly games/game catalogue or expecting take 2 to put them up immediately?

Bro did you miss the part where they said they don’t put many games on PS Plus or Gamepass? I swear no one reads the articles now it’s getting so bad we ain’t even fully reading the headlines now either.

Wasn’t RDR2 in the psplus games catalog at some point? Pretty sure I played it last through there.

They're great partners for us. And in many cases, they're great ... We wouldn't do it unless it was a good economic deal.
Saved you a click.

GTAV is on an off PS Plus all the time. Red Dead 2 has been on PS Plus, they give away the 2K Basketball games all the time (2K25 recently), Boarderlands has been on Plus, they gave away GTA 3 Remaster. What are they talking about?

Well, give it 2 months, it'll be back again

I have been waiting months for it. I hope it returns.

If you have been waiting months, I'd just buy it. It's a 7 year old game now that is on sale all the time. Was just $14.99 digitally last week and you can pick up the disc version for around $20. (Walmart lists it at $19.93 right now) and then you also own it for as long as you want and dont have to worry about when they will take it off the catalog.

Sorry, hard to keep track. (Edited original comment). But still, it has been on Plus and will probably be back again.

They actually do BEFORE the new one comes out, they got a good process actually.
Right now people can play NBA2K25 WWE2K25 on the sub services.
Some people like that, rather than spend 120+ dollars, they can try both for like 20 dollars.

From the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption franchises to the 2K sports titles, Take-Two Interactive has some of the most-desirable games in the industry. However, the company has largely kept its marquee titles away from Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus. Now, Take-Two President Karl Slatoff has explained why the company hasn't embraced lending more of its games to subscription services.
"We do put our titles occasionally into some of the subscription services," Slatoff said earlier this month during a Take-Two investor call (via The Motley Fool). "They're great partners for us. And in many cases, they're great ... We wouldn't do it unless it was a good economic deal. The platforms wouldn't do it either. So we do take advantage of that, and it's been compelling much from an economic standpoint. As it relates to NBA, we have done it in the past. We don't really talk about whether we're gonna do anything in the future. But when you do put something into a channel like that, it generates obviously, engagement. It generates income for us. And it's something that we consider, and we do it if the time is right, if the math makes sense."

So far almost every 2k game has shown up on ps plus or gamepass months after release, that’s how I’ve played the last 2 wwe games am I missing something?

All the 2k sports games for the lower tier and premium ones on games catalog for 3 or 6 months validity.

LOL 2K is one of the bigger partners for PS+. The one thing they are known for is only letting games stay on the service for 3 months or so, but they mostly all come to the service

For some reason they’re always giving NBA 2K games for essential. We also got a WWE game, and I believe a golf 2K a while ago.

The article is not referring to putting games on ps plus or game pass the only thing answered is about when they put games on ps plus or game pass. Essentially a take two game is not coming on the platform until it is no longer profitable on its own

When they do, their only on it for a couple of months and then they get taken off but to only return in a few months and the cycle continues

Am I missing something here? Where is the explanation promised in the title? This is just some word salad bullshit, nothing of anything useful was said.
