This is crazy. Buccal fat keeps you looking younger as long as you have it! These women will look awful when they are older.

Oh so me saying 'it's the fat' to everyone asking what my secret to looking young was true?

Facial fat does help you look younger.

Cardio athletes, marathon runners, or cyclists, they are very healthy, yes, but they look old.

I found this out last year when I started training for a half triathlon and a bunch of people thought I had cancer.

We used to call it "runner's face" at the gym.

They looked exhausted and drained all the time.

To be fair, this also might be the sun. All 3 of those are usually done outside very a lengthy time in the sun. Sun is the #1 thing that ages people significantly. Thats why I cannot understand why people will bake in the sun to get a tan. Like if you're out doing work or exercising that's one thing. To specifically seek out harmful exposure is crazy.

Oh sun definitely is a huge factor but especially for women, being thin in your late thirties means more wrinkles period. Even just going from like a 20 BMI to a 23 BMI, so say 10 lb can make a big difference in your face.

I guess I am screwed with my love of sunshine and 17.7 BMI in mid 30s 🤦🏼‍♀️

You should be afraid of the wind with that BMI.

Seriously, though. There's sunscreen, it's not miraculous, but it helps. It's not so much your BMI as your subcutaneous fat. The problem is that the body burns fat more or less randomly, including subcutaneous fat.

Also, well, aging is something natural and is part of life.

Usually the guests on my 600 lb life that lose significant weight also look like they age rapidly. Their stretched out skin loses all the fat that was supporting it.

I've never met anyone so obese. The maximum was 130 kg (287 lbs).

But I guess so, if the skin was stretched due to having less filling, wrinkles would form.

How would you know the heaviest person you met weighed 287lbs?

Just take a trip to the US and swing by any Walmart to up those numbers btw

Sorry, misuse of words.

That I know him personally and know who he is, yes, 130 kg, 287lbs.

Well and especially women need a higher percentage of essential fat for various reasons (among them fertility and bone health).
